[On one particular day, Seta can be found on the observation deck of the Star Rose. She's slowly going through an old looking tome that is written in a mysterious language. Perhaps it's unlike her, but she speaks to herself as she wonders...]

[This clearly has her bothered, and after being involved in battles against humans who are as eager to harm others as Kijin from beyond Gates, she has a feeling that she knows the answer to her question.]

I get the feeling Kijin historians are not exactly unbiased in their endeavours.

...I suppose...that is their intention.

The Foundation is here with the goal of protecting humanity...but to ensure that we are not mistaken, carrying this guide serves as a reminder that even humans are not always friendly.

A species united under a single banner, with only one allegiance, is an extremely rare sight. Earthlings, Gebians, Kijin, Cybertronians; none of them are like that. Even the Wulgaru have defectors.

Such is the nature of free will that you will always have disagreements.

Then...to achieve such unity...there cannot be free will?

Sapient creatures will never be unified under one banner. There will always be some people dissatisfied with the status quo, people who want to stand up to the current establishment, no matter how benevolent it is. Periods of peace, when these elements are small and not very active, are possible, but eternal peace cannot be achieved. That is the price of free will.
