So what are we going to do about that guy's idea of taking charge of the two primary crisis response teams of Earth? Whatever we're going to do, a unified response from all of Unity Group would probably be more persuasive than just running around and sending in whatever we each think is a sensible response.

[Kei just recently received a pretty big, heavy envelope. It's carrying a simplified logo of Harvard University and anybody used to trying to read her expressions can readily see that she's practically bursting with excitement. Even without having opened it, she's making the way to the kitchen closest to her room to grab a slice of cake to celebrate getting it.]

So he does have his good sides. And he does have a point that dealing with this crisis would probably be simpler with a single, unified organization.

...Maybe...you could try to make him see that he's the one coming between the two groups.

I know that I can't speak for everyone, but I don't think the other members of the SSR would act like him. And...I'd really like to see all of us working together.

He doesn't seem to understand the concept of humility. But we could try to put some other name forward. Captain Vadim or an officer who has distinguished themselves in a recent battle.

...Captain Vadim is a good leader, but I don't see the Commander agreeing to stop because of that, or any other single person.

There are other ways to do this. He can be cast aside for the bad things he has done before, I know that. I just don't want to see this end too badly for him, if only because of what he's done for me.

It...doesn't feel right if I just watch it happen.

He's got superiors and merging the two groups would take a high level political act. Simply appointing somebody else commander of the unified organization shouldn't be impossible or require his consent.

And I don't want to see anything bad happen to him, just that he's put out of authority that he is not capable of.
