[Nothing went right during the latest mission in La Gias. Denzel is dead. Setsuko, Toby, and the people they were sent to rescue have disappeared to some place unknown. Blue One took a crapload of damage, but that's the least of Asagi's worries right now. He stumbles towards a sitting area, slumps down on a chair, takes a stomach pill and lays his head on the table. Then, he slams his fist on it. The table, not his head.]

...It wasn't supposed to go like this.

"Then I guess you're screwed, aren't you!" Dido says, frustrated."I guess all you can do now is just wallow in your own misery and failure..."

She slumps. "...Like the rest of us. I'm sorry, I shouldn't have said that."

No. You shouldn't.

[Asagi rests his head on the table again.]

...We have to find them. Somehow.

"Yeah..." Dido says, propping up her head with a palm and sighing. "What we really need is an expert in alternate dimensions and how to move between them! But now that Dr. Shu's out of the picture, who can we contact?"

Maybe... That purple-haired scientist...? What was her name?

"Purple hair?" Dido says. "Sorry, what?"

You never met her? Consider yourself lucky. I don't think she's entirely sane...

"Well, a mad scientist might just be what we need to save Sara and Setsuko!" Dido points out.

"You don't exactly see dimension travel technology passing peer review these days!"

Well... See what you can find out. If she can come up with a solution, she's probably working on one already.

I'd rather not talk to her myself. Last time was bad enough.
