[Ever since Ken got back to base after Sol Saviour's first combination, all anyone might have seen of him in the time since is, well...]
WUOOOOOOOH!
[Him taking his training regimen to new, absurd levels. He didn't go anywhere without weights the lengths of his forelimbs. Several push ups, pull ups, sit ups, and whatever else he could think of were made before and after he entered every room. And that little gym he made for himself in the 'fake' city which covers the entrance of the base? Yeah, that's getting some real usage as he punches pretty much everything he can. Interrupt...?]
[2]
[Or do you want to try approaching him when he's in his room instead? Removing the weights as he readies for bed, Ken cringes several times over as he moves his hands over bruises, before returning to a default, sullen mood.]

...Who's there?

Her head lowers. "Nothing, no one. Nevermind."
She turns to go. You notice that she seems to be clutching something in her off-hand.

[Thinking on it, he didn't know the mechanic much beyond him heaping a load of trouble on her with every sortie...]
So why are you here then?

Re: 2
"I heard–literally heard, mind you–that you were training yourself down to the bone. So I bought you some Tiger Balm."
She holds it out. "Tiger for ScarleTiger. It's a pun. Heh." She adds tonelessly.

Re: 2
[He takes the balm, and considers it before putting it down on a shelf.]
I shouldn't be working myself so hard after this... though I'm not quite sure what I'll do either. Don't exactly want to fight Mizuki again - woman hits hard.

"Just one question: why?"

Re: 2
[He briefly gestures for Dido to turn around as he starts lifting his shirt.]
May have been a bit... zealous.
From:
Re: 2
Dido averts her eyes politely, starring at the ceiling.
"Did the two of you at least learn a valuable lesson?"
From:
Re: 2
[...technically the truth, but he shrugs.]
I may give some more thought on how exactly I approach my training, but... Oh, I dunno. I want to get stronger, but that just pissed Mizuki and a bunch of the others off.

Re: 2
She snorts. "I don't know if you've heard, but nowadays we do most of our fighting with giant, fusion-powered robots."

Re: 2
[Ken smirks back.]
And besides... there's another power that I need to draw out from my body. One that some machines used before me... and that Raquel uses now.
From:
Re: 2
Dido thinks back to some of the post-mission maintenance reports.
"Oh. You mean Ki Attacks?"
She strokes her chin in thought. "Not that I claim to be an expert on martial arts or anything, but aren't you supposed to be doing breathing exercises and moving meditations instead of muscle building?"
From:
Re: 2
I mean, I've used ki, I think, but I've no idea how to recreate what happened.
From:
Re: 2
"Ken," She says with a grunt. "You're pretty ripped as is. Maybe it's not so much increasing muscles mass that you need, and more training to control the processes of the body. Y'know, like those yogis and Tai Chi masters who can control their temperature , heartbeat, and breathing?"

Re: 2
[Is all Ken can give out as Dido squeezes.]
From:
Re: 2
She opens the jar, scoops out a fingerful of spicy-smelling goop, and starts kneading it into Ken's bicep.
From:
Re: 2
[Well, that stung... for a bit.]
Not... gonna get much control over my body... at this rate.
[At least he can crack a joke or two.]

Re: 2
[...Well, that's rather sheepishly admitted.]
Though I think I'll take it easy... ish, anyway.

So... thanks, I guess.
