[After successfully getting everyone dragged back to Earth for some much needed maintenance, Kei could be found quite visibly angry at something. Probably Shu, going by the looks she's sending him.]

Just what was he thinking?

[A while later after everything's settled down and everyone has had a chance to rest and recover from the operation, Kei has decided to make use of the teleporter at Shu's base to go back to La Gias to have a look at the place.]

Does sun never move down here?

So far it doesn't seem that strange...okay, other than the sun is pretty much always shining and the fact that it's apparently in the middle of the Earth.

[Kanade takes in the fresh La Gias air, for some reason she felt much more comfortable here compared to back on Earth.]

It feels really nice though. There's something in the air that makes it feel more crisp compared to back home.

He still sent us right at a major army to retrieve things that shouldn't even have been possible to steal in the first place. And he clearly knew more about it than he told us. How was he planning to let us get out if another group of soldiers had arrived?

That's true. Most people wouldn't even dream of him doing something like that before he died. It was always just calculated plans with no real risks, and rarely ever involving other people.

But what hasn't changed is that he knows when a mission has to happen. And now with these materials here, you know that it had to happen too.

At the very least it didn't have to happen like this.

But hey; at least now you'll know that with some situations, you can't expect to be fully informed of everything. Even people in La Gias don't think that way.

It does. Everything is weird...How did they even manage to capture all those units? And how can the terrain be so similar everywhere?

Maybe it's some sort of an artificial colony. Only huge. And underground.

I heard something about Shutedonias dragging in people from the surface, probably with mecha and all.

I don't think so...That would be easily discovered from the surface.

As far as I know, no.

Even back in the day when my ancestors arrived on Earth, the locals already had legends of mysterious worlds hiding underneath the planet's surface. Apparently the legends were more true than it seemed.
