[Despite joining up with the Unity Group, the two members of Zwei Wing have been rather absent from combat for the last few weeks. For the older Kanade the reason behind this was not exactly something that she wanted to get out. She had an image to uphold after all. Even if she trusted the Unity Group she still wanted to be careful with it.

Of course, hiding it really wasn't an option once her withdrawal symptoms started to kick in. The Idol leans against one of the walls of Sakihama Base and begins to coughs into her hand. A surprising amount of blood came out of her. For some reason Kanade doesn't seem that surprised about it. She just looks at the blood in her hand like it was nothing.]

Not quite as bad this time...

[Some time later she's finally provided with a new supply of LiNKER and she's taking her dosage in some secluded corner of one of the bases. She seems oddly calm, even as she stabs the syringe into her neck and pumps the drug into her system.]

That should do it.

[Kanade looks a lot more relaxed now.]

[In Sakihama City Kanade can be found wandering around in a brilliant disguise (large sunglasses and a sunhat) doing some grocery shopping. Somehow you've been dragged along to come with her and she's going through shops at a breakneck speed. For someone who was in pretty bad shape a few hours ago she's pretty energetic.]

[Ken looks to have officially been made a man of heavy lifting, judging by the bags he's carrying. Yet, he does not complain or groan - not even the slightest. And there are two reasons for this. For one, it works well for his training - the bags take the place of weights.

[His inner fanboy is dying of joy. Nice for something to actually cheer him up.]

[Kanade peeks out from one of the shops.]

Come on Ken, we have no time to waste!

[Ken quickly moves to catch up, but can't help but let out one small remark as he looks over his current load.]

Guess the rich really do have broad tastes...

You'd be surprised, an Idol doesn't make nearly as much as you think.

[Somehow she's snuck up behind Ken.]

[Kanade somehow managed to draft a bunny. A rather shellshocked one who was still trying to get her bearings on just how she ended up out here.]

Let's see...I'll need some good chicken for a curry on Monday. Some beef for hot pot on Tuesday. Tsubasa hasn't been eating properly since we got here, so I'll probably need to include some greens with that.

[She says that, but that coughing isn't stopping. Neither is the blood.]

That doesn't look fine at all!

[Izuru looks at the situation from every direction, trying to remember are there any impromptu cures for tuberculosis or internal bleeding.

For the outside observer, he's just running around like a headless chicken.]

[Only when Kanade is done it turns out that someone is watching. Silently; seeing an idol singer stab herself in the neckwith a syringe is not a normal sight.]

...I didn't know you're taking medicine...

[Hey Kanade? Not long after the contents of that syringe made its way into your bloodstream, there's a particularly loud yelp and crash. You see a young and goofy looking kid who had probably lost his balance after he was startled by you jamming a goddamn needle into the side of your neck.]

I'm worried about it happening at all! You're not keeping this a secret from the commander and others, are you? If that sprang up during a mission... you could be seriously hurt! Even die!

That seems to be quite a way to take a drug. I'd have through for certain that the advances in aerosol style injection would have made that type of syringe obsolete.

[Yuuya watches a Kanade begins to relax.]

Is this a condition tied in with your piloting or one of a more personal sort?

I left my usual one back at the 2nd Division Base. This is just my backup supply. It's a bit old-school but it works.

[She leans back into her seat at the latter question.]

I'm not exactly a pilot, but the former.

Hmm? Well should we keep a supply handy with the emergency support personnel or one of the piloting teams that you sortie with as a backup. If it's an important treatment then I know that TSFs have additional storage space in a shielded medical kit that all units are equipped with as standard. If you had an issue or incident during a fight then the results otherwise could be rather catastrophic.

[Tsubasa seems reluctant to do this, but for good reason. Still, she's being dragged around pretty easily.]
