SGT. Sousuke Sagara at your service.

I'm a member of Mithril who will be cooperating with UNITY for the time being. My orders are to specifically protect Kaname Chidori from any threats. However, I have been given orders to sortie in cooperation with Unity missions in order to facilitate good relations between our organizations.


My superiors recommended I finally introduce myself.

[From off camera a voice prods at the young soldier: "You're not going to pick up any chicks that way! What are your favorite songs! Hobby! Romance! Give them some of that"]

[Sousuke's eyes glance off camera.]

"I'm not sure why I would need to pick up baby chickens. The ration stock at the base is plentiful enough not to resort to such methods."

Hi! I'm Leos Klein from the Raven's Nest! So you're Miss Kaname's bodyguard? Make sure you do a good job 'kay? She's my friend and I'd feel terrible if she gets hurt!

[Leos is going to wave enthusiastically as he speaks.]

Do not worry. I'm very skilled at my job and I take my duties to guard Ms. Chidori very seriously.

[His eyes do squint slightly when Leos mentions he is a) Kaname's friend and b) would be sad if she got hurt. It is something someone who means harm sometimes says. Sousuke's eyes narrow further.]

That's good... I lost everyone I cared about before.

I don't want any of the friends I make here to die.

[Ken furrows his brow a bit. Nothing technically Sousuke's fault, just memories of the last new encounter he had.]

Mithril is a private counter-terrorism organization that runs outside of the jurisdiction of any government. We often operate in secret so it is understandable you haven't heard of my organization before.

I didn't feel my introduction was necessary to my duties but my superiors felt otherwise.

However, comradely is a necessary part of battle and my orders are to aid Unity with its mission as well. Therefore an introduction is a means to this end.

Yancy stares at Sagara for a good long while.

"...How old are you?" He finally asks.

"Odd question. I am 17 years old I believe."

Sousuke says with out a hint of irony or any sign that he is kidding.

[A bunch of edged metal appears on the screen, with no real distinguishable features. A robotic voice soon comes out]

SO THE SPOOKS INVOLVED IN THE CHIDORI GIRL'S MESS WERE THE MYSTERIOUS MITHRIL.

CARE TO TELL THE CLASS WHY THAT GIRL HAS A TERRORIST ORGANIZATION AFTER HER.

[Sousuke seems unphased by the robot voice. Maybe he is hiding his confusion or assuming it is some new AI system....or just a person in a voice changer.]

"That information is classified even from me. However, she is not the first civilian to be targeted like this. Not long before my mission with Ms. Chidori, I was part of an extraction team to rescue a similarly aged girl. I'm not really at liberty to make a guess as to why this is occurring however."
