The words on its forehad have been replaced, as well-no longer "Be Thou Afraid", they now read simply "Fear not". Eva is nearby, wearing some paint-splattered work clothes and looking over her work proudly.]

[Eva's brought a deck of playing cards, dice, and three small cups to the cafeteria today.]

[Despite his confusion, Izuru glances at the assorted gaming implements with a curious eye.]

Alright. The game is simple.

We each take turns rolling five dice. After you roll, you can take any number of the dice back, and roll them again. You can do that once more, so you get 2 rerolls. Whoever scores the highest wins.

Okay. And if the new dice roll lower, can I keep the old result? Or is it gone?

It's gone. So be careful with which dice you choose to reroll.

Would you like to go first?

[Izuru gives those dice a good shake and rolls them around.]

Think I'll reroll the ones that got a three or below. That's less than half, right?

That's the best approach for playing normally, yes.

Normally? What are you going to do, Eva?

[Izuru shows his hand once rerolls are made. Your turn.]

I told you, didn't I? I am going to cheat.

[When Eva's own rolls come up, she quickly re-rolls all of her dice-and now they're all sixes!

One of them even has two sixes on it now, a six on top and a six on the side facing Izuru.]

Okay, except cheating, I know that part...

Do you remember Shizuka?

I don't think she ever used them on you, but she had the power to make people see things that weren't there. Usually monsters and demons...

I've been able to copy the powers of the rest of my siblings, so I figured I'd give it a shot.

[Eva lets her concentration lapse, and the dice revert to their original faces-a totally random arrangement.]

Since it operates in the mind of other people, it's not something I can practice on my own.
