1. [Anyone passing by the hangar will notice the Tern looks different-specifically, it's been painted a vibrant shade of blue, with orange trim. The words on its forehad have been replaced, as well-no longer "Be Thou Afraid", they now read simply "Fear not". Eva is nearby, wearing some paint-splattered work clothes and looking over her work proudly.]
...Watch me, Ren.
2. Say-would you like to play a game?
[Eva's brought a deck of playing cards, dice, and three small cups to the cafeteria today.]
I want to try something.

[Despite his confusion, Izuru glances at the assorted gaming implements with a curious eye.]
Try what, do you have a trick that lets you always win?

Re: 2
It should be good practice.

Anyway let's bring it on. Should be fun!

We each take turns rolling five dice. After you roll, you can take any number of the dice back, and roll them again. You can do that once more, so you get 2 rerolls. Whoever scores the highest wins.
Got it?

Would you like to go first?

[Izuru gives those dice a good shake and rolls them around.]
Think I'll reroll the ones that got a three or below. That's less than half, right?

[Izuru shows his hand once rerolls are made. Your turn.]

[When Eva's own rolls come up, she quickly re-rolls all of her dice-and now they're all sixes!
One of them even has two sixes on it now, a six on top and a six on the side facing Izuru.]

Okay, except cheating, I know that part...

I don't think she ever used them on you, but she had the power to make people see things that weren't there. Usually monsters and demons...
I've been able to copy the powers of the rest of my siblings, so I figured I'd give it a shot.
[Eva lets her concentration lapse, and the dice revert to their original faces-a totally random arrangement.]
Since it operates in the mind of other people, it's not something I can practice on my own.

More than winning, I want to see if I can cheat a certain way.

Limited emotional ranges make for wonderful poker players
[Eva takes out a pot of...go pieces. White and black stones, all mixed up together in a bowl.]
The game is simple. We each draw a piece from the bottom of the bowl. We continue drawing until we draw a piece of a different color, at which point we pass to the other player. After each of us have three turns, whoever has the most pieces wins.
Are you ready?

Re: Limited emotional ranges make for wonderful poker players
*Grace takes a piece. And another piece. And another piece. And another piece! Before she finally draw a different colour. She looks genuinely surprised herself... at first.

On contrary, extreme emotional range ALSO makes great poker play

[Eva draws two white pieces, one after another. When she goes to draw her third piece, she concentrates really hard for some reason...and it's white, too. Her fourth draw is a black piece though, so she stops.]
...You're lucky.

Re: 1
She then carefully and intensely stares at the piece.*
Okay, I'll be honest. I don't actually know how to cheat in this damn game. Why can't we just play poker or something.

Re: 1
[Eva reaches into the bowl again, pulling out a whole fistfull of stones. When she drops them on the table, every single one is white-though some of them sure looked black for a second there.]
-This.

Re: 1
[Eva holds her head for a moment. Her eye twitches slightly. A tiny bit of blood drips from her nose. She lets go, and about half of the huge pile of white pieces suddenly snap into being black.]
...be needed.
This is harder than I thought.

2 - better late than never, right?
[Asagi looks at the three cups.]
Is this like one of those shell games that are always rigged?

Re: 2 - better late than never, right?
...I want to rig it in a special way, though.
