[So, after all that, Albert is finally out for the count. Ashe fainted, though, from sheer exhaustion - after all, everyone else fought on a robot, But Ashe went though six separate boss battles on foot in straight succession, and spent all of Model A's and her own energy reserves.

And so, you can find her at the infirmary, where she's been for a while now, with a certain floating trapezoid standing guard right over her bed. She stirs]

Gah!

[And starts awake with a jump. She seems confused for a moment, then smiles]

...whew. So we did get out before it exploded, didn't we. I was a bit worried for a minute there. And Albert is finally gone... wait. What are you doing up there, Model A?
What, can't I stand watch over my sick friend now?
Heeeeh. [Ashe grins]
What?
That's the first time you've actually called me your friend, you know.
Ah! Really? Well, I can stop if you want. [Model A sounds embarrassed now]
Who said that? Don't worry about it, dummy.

[And that's when she notices you.]

Oh hey there! How are you doing?

[And so, a bit later, Ashe is out of the infirmary, standing on a roof, looking up and grinning. Well, that's one adventure over. All that's left is to get around to contacting the Sages - the two that remain, at least - and get paid, and then... well, who knows!

If you want to talk to Ashe, this is probably the best time - she seems to be in a wonderful mood.]

You did it, Ashe! Ouroboros is gone... and I'm on this side of the bed, somehow!

"Of course I did!" is probably what I should say here, but honestly, this one was a team effort.

... I heard about Albert. Some revelation, huh...

...yeah. Honestly, not exactly the way I wanted my search to find out where I came from to end.
Ashe...
But you know what? I think that taught me something I probably needed, too.

[Kei was standing next to the bed carrying a small collection of fruit to put on the stand. There are also no inedible cakes in sight, maybe the hospital staff banned hazardous materials from entering the wards?]

Thanks for getting me out of there, by the way. Not sure I was in any shape to swim home.

The place was exploding around us, without the shuttle I think only me and Asagi could have flown out on our own.

I think old man Optimus and his buddies could probably have walked home on the bottom, at least. And Nep can fly too.
So can we when you're not deciding to fall down right when everything is about to explode!
Awww, look at that, Model A was worried. [Ashe grabs one of the fruits inside the basket, throws it into her other hand, and takes a bite. She definitely seems to be regaining her strength quickly. She offers another piece to Kei]

Man, that sure was something else, though. I still have no idea what the heck was going on with Walt back there.

[Rock smiles at Ashe when she notices him.]

I'm glad to see you and Model A are alright, Ashe.

[He only just entered the room, so now he's going to sit down in a chair next to the bed.]

Not half as much as we are, believe me. Running out of energy right when everything starts to explode is not the best situation to be!

Yeah, that sounds pretty rough. Everything turned out alright in the end though, and that's what's important.

[He kind of fidgets a bit.] I do wish I'd been able to go too. [Mostly because he wanted to help of course.]

Don't feel bad. There's only so many people that we can get into a shuttle, and besides, we needed to have some guys back in reserve in case all those crazy robots Albert had around Ouroboros broke off and began attacking.

That could have been amusing though. Wonder how he'd have reacted to a Mega Man he had nothing to do with?

[Hibiki'd mostly come just because she wanted to see for herself that Ashe was okay. But, well...]

Better than ever, in fact. We just saved the world twice in the same day, Albert's gone, and nobody was really hurt!

[Then she winks, mischievous] And on top of everything going great, I'm going to get paid enough money to swim in for it, to boot!

Yeah. I mean, you had to expect Albert to come up with some nasty tricks, being who he was, but between those four idiots and the whole thing with Walt, that got a lot more complicated than any of us probably thought.

Yeah, about those four. You think they got out alive? Not sure about the other three, but Thetis, at least, is a mass murderer...

I'm pretty sure some of them did, at least.

The plan was to bring them in and take their Biometals, but, you know how that went.

Speaking of the Sages, have a transmission with Master Mikhail, who seems unusually full of energy today.


"So that was Master Albert's plan all along... it was foolish for us not to realize sooner. Still, you managed to defeat him before his insanity consumed us all. Good job - to you, and Unity Group."

And here's Master Thomas, not too far behind.

[Ashe grins, greeting the two Sages on the screen]

And yeah, that was something indeed. Did you get a report? Because that got pretty crazy. We not only tok out Albert himself, but stopped that lady thing Walt had from eating the world, took down Ouroboros, and routed the four Mega Men so they wouldn't be problems again, saving the world about twice in a row. Pretty good for a day's work, uh?

"Trouble always brings more trouble. You know what they say about rain. But what did you say about the four Mega Men, that they fled?"


"I'm sure they won't cause any more trouble. You did well Ashe - you will receive your payment as agreed."

[Ashe's grin gains something of a sharklike quality]

Oh, you should be getting my rates about now.

[Indeed, Ashe's invoice for services rendered is getting to Mikhail and Thomas about now. And there's a lot of minutely detailed items, including things that go from extended contract duration all the way to one account of "Saving the World" - and it all adds up to a whole lot of zeroes]

I'm throwing in the second saving the world on the house. Walt did most of the work on that one, anyway.
Man, when it comes to money Ashe is kind of scary...

[And cue Interitus cheerily butting in.]

"Worried lots. Brought sweeties!"

[That being said the plant girl happily offered a box of sweets that was... sort of full.]

She... kind of got hungry waiting for you to wake up. Sorry-GYAH!

[Interitus promptly stuck her tongue out at Volya and poked him below the ribs, making him jump with a yelp.]

"Vol-yah eat too. Still lots. Share now?"

So, how's the whole little plant lady thing working out for you two? I still think Interitus looks a little weird like that. Too used to the big one.

I think she's been having too much fun with it.

[Now that Ashe was awake and taking her share of the sweets, Interitus could now grab a few more for herself without feeling bad.]

Since she could walk around Sakihama city without freaking people out she's been dragging me all over the place. Arcades, Ice Cream Parlors, book stores, pet shops, chocolate cafes... I'm just lucky Ken was around to pay for all of it.

[Poor Ninja Janitor.]

But I guess it isn't so bad... we can do more stuff together than sit around and fight now.
