[To say Regalis Filia was pretty damn trashed after the latest engagement with the Zentraedi was an understatement. Indeed it was designed first and foremost to protect its pilot, it didn't mean the beating wasn't straining in itself. Peola was sitting on the deck of the Macross with a number of bandages on her, kicking her feet lazily as she looked out to sea. Ever so often she'd glance at her bandages in annoyance and tug at them a little.]

For an annoying big talking Pacifist, that jerk Kaifun knows how to throw a person.

[She gives you a wry smile and waves.]

Do you think we did good enough out there?

[Not too far from the Macross and the Unity Group in town, there was a woman making something of a commotion. She was a tall, brutal looking specimen, numerous scars on her body and face. There was also a distinct air of smugness and a somewhat vicious grin on her face.]

[Her hand snaps out towards you.]

I'm looking for a brat named Peola. I felt and saw her around here... so where is she?

[As she lowers her hand her fingers curl into a fist as bones pop.]

I'm not one for asking twice so you better cough it up.

Wasn't a whole city destroyed last time a Zentraedi attack on Earth happened? While not perfect, today was still huge progress in comparison.

Progress yeah... still the city was hit pretty hard. Chalk this one up to a learning experience I guess.

[Peola chews on her lip a little.]

By the way... I owe you for getting my head pointed the right way back out there. That Kaifun guy was getting on my nerves enough I didn't think things through.

He got on my nerves too, and I doubt that's the last we heard of him. But as a negotiator, I had to deal with worse, and it worse situations.

[She had a small grin. Why not? Roger was an alright guy and he didn't have any sort of bad intentions she could pick up on.]

In that case I accept. A lot of my knowledge of Earth Cuisine's just been base rations and juice boxes anyway.

Then what you tasted here only scratches the surface of humanity's culinary achievements. Believe me, in comparison to a good dinner, military rations are pretty bad.

What about food on your home planet, though?

Well lots of fruit and game animals. We still have a lot of forests back home. Most of its really fresh too.

[Peola thought back to all the feasts she attended.]

But the best meals were usually fish. Special occasions since they're so hard to catch and they can even swallow machina whole.

I remember there was this one dish we had in the Radiant Dawn festival. They marinated this slab of fish the size of a table for five days in a mix of juices and spices and then baked it until the entire Palace could smell it.

When they brought out the platter it was on a bed of greens with all sorts of fruits and hot pastries decorating it!

[Peola looked nostalgic and excited at the same time, almost letting out a happy squeal of delight at the memory.]

It was amazing! It was like it melted in your mouth and you could taste a whole forest of flavors!

The taste must've been quite something. I've never seen someone get so excited over fish before.

They grow to enormous size at your home planet, too. If the fishermen of Paradigm saw a fish of that size, they'd probably go on strike until it goes away.
