McDaniel's-NOW OPENING
The sign hangs over a building that's been under some work recently-and its renovations have just completed!
It's not a big place. The bar has no tables, unlike the larger places on the Macross and Star Rose. Still, it's far better than drinking in the commissary, and doesn't require a long drive or a teleporter trip. A TV hangs on one wall, and behind the bar there is a vast array of various kinds of alcohol. There's a small menu on a stand-up chalkboard, which would be easier to read if Sarah wasn't in the middle of writing it.

[With a quick rap on the door, Ren enters and looks around curiously.]
Are you starting your own business, Sarah?

I must say, you are a pragmatic person.

Do you want anything to start with?

And I'm not much of a drinker, I'm afraid. Still, I'll try to provide you business through word of mouth, if not in person.

...Well, if you're not a drinker, I do sell some food here. And there's lighter fruity drinks to consider, too.

Let's see now. I'm not fully abstinent, you know! My dietary restrictions lie elsewhere, I simply didn't really feel like drinking too much. Hmm.
[Ren crosses their arms, looking around for something resembling a menu.]
Are you going to make mojitos? It's probably not the best choice for cold weather, but...

[Sarah goes behind the bar, and pulls out a menu, which she hands over. It's got a few food items, and a vast selection of alcohol-cocktails and straight drinks. There's a few kinds of coffee and some desserts for sale, too.]
Here you go, it's the first draft. And yeah, I can make those-used to work nights at a bar before getting signed up here.
...You might have better luck with some irish coffee, though.

[Ren pauses.]
Ah, Irish coffee doesn't come in shots, does it. The joke doesn't really work that way.

She trails off. "But what were you thinking, theme-wise?"

[Look who it is... the least likely person to come here hoping for food or something to drink since most of it's poison for her! She'd been curious about what Sarah'd been doing here, and seeing all of this, Mizuki pauses for a moment before making a request.]
You serve water, right?

...It's the priciest by a wide margin, but I think you'd want to go for the scotch; if you've been drinking whiskey for a while you should be able to appreciate it, and I get the feeling that you're a little bit better off than most of the people around here.

Besides, twenty five years is over half of Paradigm's recorded history. Not every day do you get to drink something that's almost an artifact of an older era.

...You do realize this is a bar, right?
