[After the battle in the Iraqi desert as the bodies had been cleaned up, Alex could be found walking around the dig site. Stopping to look at newly broken statues or just around where the battle had been. It wasn't really a very big site all told, but did that really matter?]

It's weird. This place has been lying quietly for millennia and war returned to it like this...At least it didn't turn into a full-blown massacre.

Yeah...I saw some of those winged bull-thingies when I was at the Louvre as a kid. It's not unique...But who knows how many priceless tablets holding new knowledge have gotten crushed by mecha here?

This is what happens when greedy and corrupt men seek out such knowledge, only with the intention of benefiting from it. All they wanted is the opportunity to find another Enki, and didn't care about anything else here.

Yeah. They're just looting the dead for their own benefits...Most people who do that only want to get rich, they don't kill people or use their loot to overturn governments.

Many of them managed to escape. Do you think they might've found something that would help them, here? The damages to the site make it hard to say, but you're a bigger expert on those matters than me.

I'm an expert on Greek archaeology, but I should probably read up on Mesopotamian matters.

I doubt there is anything to find. I'm pretty sure that the monsters aren't just lying around to be found and Enki should be unique.

That raises a good question. Where did Asag come from? Where was it resting before it attacked?

...I have no idea. Maybe in some artifact in a museum or private collection? Or maybe it came from some other world of gods and monsters.

At least the hostages were saved. It's good to see how fast and precise Unity Group can be under pressure.

Right. I was really worried when I heard it was a hostage situation, but we managed to avoid any civilian casualties.
