Martian Successors?

[It's rather funny.  The fight against the Meganoids led to investigating a downed Wulgaru ship on Mars.  And during the fight, Flit came across something else... something... man-made.  The remnants of a settlement, with designs that certainly looked Earth-based at least.  They seemed to be old though, and back at Star Rose Flit's looking over pictures of what he found.  Not much is left, and he's had trouble finding information about Mars colonization programs, but...]

... Just how old is all of this?

I don't know. They were well out of the way... closer to the Wulgaru ship than the dome that had been set up. Maybe Banjou would be able to clear that up though.

There are ancient ruins on Mars?

Well, I don't know how old they are. And I haven't found any kind of records of the sort about it.

... But it's not like there haven't been people going to Mars before. Banjou's family did, and maybe people went there before even him.

Maybe it's just an old and abandoned research station, or something like that.

Think we should go back there and dig up a bit more?

I'm not sure what we'd find or how long it would take. If I come across something in these records though that warrants a second look I'd definitely find time though.

Because they're using them as cannon fodder?

That's one way to use clone soldiers, but not the only way I think.

Uhhh... I think you have the wrong idea here. I still had a life and all, you know.

It's just that I wasn't born the normal way. I don't think anyone in the academy was.

A long time ago. But to learn that Wulgaru do this thing too...

We really are similar, huh.

Don't say that. Even if we share some sort of ancestor with the Wulgaru, we're nothing like them. If there was some sort of... genetic decay problem we wouldn't try solving it by killing other races.

I guess not. But what if it was the only solution?

Do the Wulgaru have other solutions, even? From what Teoria said their society is really messed up. Maybe there are other answers readily available and they just don't pursue them.

And if it's true... it might mean that humans were trying to settle on Mars long before I thought they were. Obviously didn't work out for them though...

Probably long gone by now even if they did. The Balmarians, UE, Wulgau, and now the Zentradi, Decepticons, and Gebians as well...

Anything you could find other than those pictures? Signs of a fight? Signs of these people moving out somewhere else?

...After who knows how many years on Mars there probably wasn't much left...

Really old! I mean... dad loved to keep newspapers about things back home for stuff like the first moon landing ever... its not THAT old, but it looks like its a bunch later but still way before now.
