A day after Mars has been put back in proper orbit, much to the thanks of destroying everything Meganoid, Banjou is back in his manor. And while you may thing he's taking some personal time, he hasn't quite yet. Instead he's setting up for a party, one of thanks.

The entirety of the Unity group, because everyone at one point or another has assisted in the Meganoid threat, has been invited to the Haran Manor for a massive banquet.

"I welcome you all, largely in thanks for assisting me in my battles against teh meganoid threat, which as of yesterday have been utterly eradicated. A toast to you all!"

Of course, though Banjou will allow him to have wine, should he so choose. He'll just have to be responsible about it.

"There's still much more work to be done, but unquestionably we have eliminated at least one threat to our world. I see no reason to celebrate." Especially since it's his personal vendetta they all helped with.

So, what're you going to do now? You said it yourself, there's still a lot of work to do.

There is, but... there's no harm in taking a little time off after that. I'd dedicated most of my life to fighting them after all...

That's true. It's our biggest victory yet after all!

"Oh... I won't be able to do that.


I'm retiring. Daitarn 3 is all yours." Banjou says it with a straight face and takes a sip of wine.

Really?!

[Izuru throws his arms up in shock. Good thing he didn't have a drink, or else Garrison would have a stain to take care of.]

Banjou calmly putsh is drink down before he starts laughing. "I'm joking! Maybe I'll teach you to use it some time, but, no, I'm far from done." he says, flexing one of his arms.

"I've got a spare DaiTank and DaiFighter, but they don't transform. They're more for the rest of my team to use."

Ahh, right! Right. I totally knew it was a joke.

S-still, good to know you're not giving up.

Of course not, just going on a break for a while. Giving up would be just preposterous.

Who'll be there to slap my all new Haran Foundation logos on your machine!

Banjou seems surprised. Perhaps he'd been blind to more than a few things while focusing on Meganoids.

"I see... well... I suppose I should've noticed earlier. Sorry about that!"

No, it's okay. In fact it'd be best if no one noticed the commercials at all... while they were still there I mean.

[Nothing quite like a celebration when the guy holding it has enough money to order a moderate stock of foods Mizuki can eat.]

Banjou pipes up to respond to that. "You probably didn't notice in all the chaos but there was a dome around where we were. They'd managed to simulate, or otherwise produce oxygen for themselves, and vicariously, us."

But Garrison comes to Mizuki's side, bringing a dinner tray just for her. "Your meal, ma'am." he says, presenting a rather large cut of some sort of meat, with a side of some rather well-prepared mushrooms.

[It smelled right, and Mizuki took the plate from Garrison, though Banjou's words are still making her think though.]

Still... if the Meganoids achieved at least a modicum of terraforming Mars like that, it just goes to show how stupid they were about... everything from the very start.

A shame that kind of technology has to be put on the back burner, till we deal with the rest of the threats to humanity. It'd be nice to have another world to call home...

There's no reason why we can't, but, as you said, it'll have to wait. It won't do us any good to find ourselves a new home only to have to dedicate all our time to defending it, rather than terraforming.

[Hetepheres raises a glass. It looks kinda murky, like in addition to alcohol someone added something else to it. Is that mayo?]

What are you going to do, now that your lifelong goal is complete?

"I'll take a little time for myself. Make doubly sure that nobody can replicate my father's work, then make my way backto you guys." he says, sipping his wine.

"I'm sure you can handle the load without me for a while."

Do not worry about that and take all the time you need. You have witnessed the strength of Unity Group many times already; they will be able to handle whatever lies ahead.

Especially when a certain general watches over them.
