[After the base has been secured Yuuya is standing outside his unit looking at the paint marks on his leg and across his unit.]
Looks like we were holding our own fairly well there but they won't fall for that again. Leon and Sharon were also in position for me to pull that maneuver, should have guessed they'd know I wouldn't have let one of them on my tail like that without having some way to turn it around.
It's going to be that much harder to trump them next time, and I'm sure they'll up their noisemakers to really confuse us.

[You see a meeting between Cryska Barschowa, Yuuya, and two of the infinities pilots. As you approach Cryska is picked up by other members of her flight and the infinities drive on in their own vehicle. As Yuuya turns to walk back to his barracks he sees you pauses for a moment before approaching.]
Well, I'm sure you have some questions about that little meeting. Especially after Leon's little bit of showboating calling me out so obviously during the mission. Go ahead and ask, I resigned myself to answering everything when they joined the exercises.

[As you enter a busy restaurant outside of Yukon you find celebrations in full swing as the various Eishi flights are boasting about the exercises and swearing revenge in the spirit of playful banter. Of particular note is the cluster of the Argos flight and what you would hazard to be the Bao Feng flight as the only Chinese unit in the region. Yuuya seems to be trying halfheartedly to push one of the flight members away as he seems more interested in the bowl in front of him and the pot sitting in front of Lt. Takamura.]

[As you walk past one of the exercise rooms purposed for martial arts in Alhambra you notice something you never would have expected. Yuuya is dressed in a proper gi and is standing awkwardly with a Bokken in hand. His moves are still awkward but he appears to be practicing Kendo.]

The US development program is less directed towards the BETA and a more general application. They're developing the line in part as a show of cooperation with the UN but also to be more viable in the long run outside of those engagements.
Leave it to them to build a TSF specifically designed to confuse and destroy other mecha. If this situation weren't as convoluted as it is I'd almost think they were preparing to take over when it's all said and done.

It's stupid and wasteful but politicians rarely do things logically from the grunt's point of view.

After we defeat all the bad guys, I want peace to happen. Not for different countries to start fighting each other.

But if history holds true we'll probably see a decade at most before reconstruction is mostly complete and someone else decides to still up trouble. We're kind of bad about that as a species.

Just keep your head in the game and we'll sort the rest as it comes. It's pretty much what we've been doing and things have worked out fairly well. For right now though I think a shower and food are in order since I was too busy posing for the public to eat before the exercise and it turned out to be more interesting than anticipated. Probably should have guessed that would be the case with the way our luck goes in the group.

The best kind of world won't need heroes at all, but since that's not the kind we live in, let's just keep up the good work now. Maybe one day...
