Cruel, maybe. Or maybe... if humans and other beings were given free wills, that means their actions are their own and not the god's anymore, right?

If there even is a god that is. But souls and the afterlife can exist even without one.

Perhaps it is natural for souls to transmigrate through different environments, divine assistance or not. This might be just one of their many steps.

That is, if you believe a soul exists. I believe it does.

The transmigration one? I spoke only hypothetically. Beliefs are what they are because there is no way for us to prove them true or false. So whatever you believe, you are free to do so.

But my own personal beliefs are rather simple, actually.
