Raquel was was actually tired, very tired really when it got down to it, her mother had been throwing her through brutal training even by her own standard and she was wary in both body and soul. It been hard and she couldn't fully get what had got to her mother? She just makes her way into one of the lounges .

Worse the memories of the battle with the beta were haunting her, even if she had the Amazon it would have only stemmed the tide a bit more. What were those things where did they come from she slumped into the chair in the lounge and just slumping in she's not out of sorts like she was after the mysterious south American fight. No she just looked very wary if one were to observe here.

Raquel was about to say something, there's a stunned look on their face. She stares for a moment before her mouth open unable to form words. Finally it seems to work again as she speaks.

"Wait what?! Why!?"

That ties to what I said earlier. You see, I am... not technically immortal, but for the time being I cannot be killed.

[Ren says it like it's no big thing.]

My kin are afraid of death, so by eating my body they hope for this immortal-like state to transfer to them. They're not wrong, either.

"Everyone fears the reaper and people have been driven here to do horrific things trying to defeat it as it were. I see ... they wish to kill one person to preserve many? That ... still is not the sort of logic I like I admit."

Raquel shifts about a bit more uncomfortably thinking of beings alien or not who'd attempt to do such.

No, I do not like it either. Especially since, well, it may be a selfish desire but I would rather stay alive myself.

Are you training for a reason in particular, Raquel?

"I have been training most of my life to be honest. My mothers always been like that. It's more something happened, our martial art style so far as I know has no name, no one else I ever have seen have used it."

Raquel shifts a bit uncomfortably before she carries on.

"During an operation in South America we were attacked by a force of unknown machines who seemed not only to know the style but how to utterly counter it."

Oh? It sounds like your style is known by more than just two people then. But that's obvious by now.

The question is, where did those mysterious machines learn it from?

"That's a question I have been asking and our resident Shura has vanished so I have no idea whom I can ask."

She shifts about a little bit thinking.

"I'm not even sure if I can get something out of my mother on this. She's being locked down harder than a lawyer's soul."

If the situation becomes really serious, perhaps your mother will change her mind? I would like to meet her anyway - she must be an extraordinary person.

"That's what I'm hoping she does maybe she will. Maybe she won't it's hard to tell. Also yes she could break me in two in a fight to be perfectly honest."
