[After Mars, Peola can be found in the hangar at Star Rose, seated close by her Gespenst and looking half asleep as she lazily drank the contents of a small nondescript carton of fruit juice. The mood was still tense practically everywhere, even after managing to save everyone. People don't simply forget friends and several hundred civilians dying so easily.]
[She paused a moment and moved her free hand in front of her, stretching it slowly before pulling her lips away from the straw with a sigh.]
I really hope today means everything is going to get better...
[Still, when a perfectly average security guard does that well on the field... its a good sign yes? She waves lazily for some reason.]
You need something?
[Wait... was she talking to you?]

[Peola's at a gym somewhere. Alhambra, Star Rose, The Macross, Sakihama... it doesn't really matter. Either way when you see her, she's training pretty hard as a barrage of strikes filled the air and battered the everloving hell out of the poor training dummy that was set up.]
Haaaaaaa!!!
[You can see that she's been at this for quite a while. However it seems that there's something else in the way she moves. While she was indeed pushing herself to her limits, the look in her eyes betrayed a sense of exuberance. Part of why she was training so hard wasn't just to get stronger, but simply because she enjoyed it - all but immersing herself into the flow of punches and kicks.]
[She hasn't noticed you yet, a change of pace from her regular schtick.]

[Somehow, one such gym Peola found... was Ken's makeshift one, out in the city.]
This is my gym.
[As if he had somehow put up a sign or something.]

[Admittedly Peola doesn't very much like being surprised, suddenly snapping around as if expecting trouble. Then what Ken said registered and she felt... extremely sheepish to say the least. She wiped her forehead and gave Ken a raised eyebrow.]
I didn't really see anything saying nobody else could use it though.
Besides... sometimes I just want to let loose without anyone bothering me... and this place kinda felt quiet enough.
You got a problem with that?

Y...es?
[... She hesitated.]

[Ken pauses.]
From:
2/3
[He screams.]
From:
3/3
[And he's done.]
So why exactly were you using my gym anyway?
From:
no subject
Okay! First of all I already said it. I needed somewhere quiet to work out, I was walking around and I found this place.
Second...
[She looks at Ken with a frown.]
Take that back.

I'm not going to ask again. Take. it. Back.

[As it turns out, being a part time janitor doesn't pay all that much, even with Unity Group.]
Look, if its that big a deal to you, fine, sorry, but its not gonna change the fact you answered it that way...
From:
no subject
Then if that's the case... How about we fight for it?
I win you take it back! What do you want out of this?
From:
no subject
...Hm. Hard to say. Not much point in barring you from the gym, and I barely know you otherwise...
[Ken seems stuck in thought on the matter.]
From:

From:

[...Though, a thought does come to mind...]
...If I win, you help me.
From:
no subject
[The bluenette had a look of confusion on her face at his request though.]
I thought we were on the same side. Doesn't that count as helping?
From:

From:

[She shrugs.]
I'll just do what I can then, that alright?
From:

[Ken steps into a stance. He seems... wary, as if remembering some previous encounter, but he brushes it off.]
When you're ready.
From:
no subject
[Peola's hands curled to fists as she slipped into her stance. Okay Ken, advantage here is that she's probably kinda tired from her training, disadvantages? Well she has the size and weight advantage, probably a lot stronger as well. And despite watching some of her training you probably have no idea how she fights...]
HAAAA!
[Oh look she's throwing the first punch.. or punches, taking several quick and steady steps forward and letting loose with a thunderous trio of punches aimed at your midsection! Left-right-left!]
From:
no subject
Hah hah hah!
[He sweeps his hands across the first of the two incoming blows, letting their own momentum carry
them away as he deflects them. For the third however, he tries to sidestep it, just enough to create a gap... that his right arm can come down on, and attempt to catch Peola's extended limb in its grip. And if he can manage that...]
TOH!
[Then it'll be harder for her to dodge a kick aimed for her knees!]
From:
no subject
[That kick was probably going to be an issue, still... she had an arm free! Normally, countering kicks by blocking them as you would punches would be difficult, and rather painful to do...]
[In fact the impact of the stop felt like something rattled for the both of them... still, crouching slightly with her hand tight around Ken's leg. It seems that there's something of a disparity as Ken still has an arm free - as awkward as his stance is right now. Admittedly if Peola went in for a leg swipe now, it wouldn't help much with the grip that Ken had on her arm.]
From:
no subject
[Peola's grunt is mirrored by one from Ken, who hadn't exactly expected his kick to be caught. And yet, he's grinning, finding a strange enjoyment in a fight where he's not the angry one, and he isn't against an opponent who immediately proves their ability to kick his ass.
Unfortunately for Peola, there's something else Ken has free - his other leg. With Peola holding the other up, and with his hold on her arm for some kind of grounding, he quick raises his free leg, and tries to bring it up and over the woman's shoulder - right where he can use it to try and springboard away, releasing his arm, and hoping to make enough pull to free his leg.]
From:
no subject
[With a cry she proceeds to let loose a barrage of blows at Ken, her fists becoming blurs in the air as they almost seem to get faster and faster with every thrown punch!]
From:
no subject
He found himself trying to dodge the oncoming punches, taking several steps back as he did so. At times, he was too slow to do so, and so was forced to try and deflect her. And that certainly drew... mixed results.]
Ugh!
[Mainly focused upon his right arm, which as its struck, aches more and more. That crazy lady's wound still hurts...]
Who... trained you?
[He finally realises he should ask this sort of question.]
From:
no subject
My brother, and when he was too busy he had his friends help me.
[She couldn't help but smile proudly.]
He said I was as good as he was, even if I had a lot more to learn!
[At the last, word she let loose a thunderous strike aimed for Ken's midsection!
From:
no subject
[Ken rolled the injured arm for a bit, hoping to ease it up some more...]
We're in the same boat!
[And... he drops a smoke bomb, leaving Peola to punch a cloud as he disappears from sight.]
From:
no subject
[Gah! Smoke! Okay, this shouldn't be a problem for you now Ken, she ought to be confused and disoriented as her fist went through the smoke and- OHGOD SHE SWUNG AROUND TO THROW A KICK AT YOU!]
THERE!!
From:
no subject
[And... well, Peola doesn't quite miss, but its clear she's brushing the bottom of something... Feet?]
Ha!
[Ken cries out briefly as he suddenly swings in from above, aiming to lock legs around the woman's neck, and using momentum to fall into a throw!
...Though, a ninja probably shouldn't yell so much.]
From:

From:

[Ken tries to land on his feet again, but fumbles more than a few times to find secure footing. At least, compared to some other fights where this has happened, he managed to stop himself.]
What a quick reaction...
[Even with his yell for a warning, Ken was impressed by how his opponent had managed.]
Certainly not a moron at fighting.
[And... yet Ken himself doesn't appear to shift his tactics, just getting into another stance, and waiting for Peola to come.]
From:
no subject
[She grinned as she brushed at her chin, bouncing on the balls of her feet for a moment before charging straight in again, going for a grapple this time around!]
From:
no subject
And then, slip out from his own shirt to get free, before attempting to wrap it around her arms - and give himself leverage by which to pull her in for an uppercut!]
How about that?!
From:
no subject
From:
no subject
[And yet Ken's fist does not recoil! It would seem they are at, as they say, an impasse!]
You... ready to give up yet?
From:
no subject
I got through some of the most intense training you could even think about to get where I am now, I'm not going to lose to some random person in a gym in the middle of nowhere!
From:
no subject
[Ken... is... laughing? He doesn't look right.]
You have no idea, do you?
From:
no subject
[And Peola uses this opening to quickly let loose another solid punch to Ken's body! Reeeeally shouldn't have gotten distracted here Ken.]
Gotcha!
But seriously, I have no idea what you're talking about.
From:
1
[Well, someone is back to his usual cheerful self.]
From:
no subject
[Peola grins at Izuru, the Rabbit-Team Pilot's cheerfulness being somewhat infectious.]
Guess it really helped that we all worked together right?
From:
no subject
I just didn't want another tragedy to repeat itself. So I tried my hardest and... it wasn't just me, or just Red Five. Everyone did their best.
From:
no subject
What she said when I had to go get her. Its still bugging me.
From:
no subject
I didn't even know she had a past like that!
From:
no subject
You'd figure her friends would have talked to her about it or something.
From:
no subject
Does the XO... even have friends?
From:
no subject
From:
no subject
But, well...
[Even Izuru can't just walk up to someone and ask if they have any friends to talk about the attempted suicide-by-explosion.]
From:
no subject
[Peola sighs roughly and presses a hand to her head.]
I'm not that much of a people person, so its not a good idea for me to try it.
From:

... For better or for worse.
