In Alhambra base, you can see a man in military uniform standing in front of some sort of coffee machine.

"They installed an automatic coffee dispenser..."

He turns toward you and cries out dramatically.

"I'm in despair! The way human easily substituted the art of coffee making for automated, mechanized coffee-making device has left me in despair!"

I once knew a soldier who traded coffee behind everyone's back once. He got grounded for black coffee marketing.

And oh, you're a veteran of the Divine War?

Anyway, you're part of that legendary unit? Should've known I'm talking to a celebrity.

I was also a survivor of the Divine War. I was lucky enough to got posted on somewhere far less exciting though, I barely see any combat.

So, you pilot one of those super prototype mech?

"I was, and I'm not really that known. the LT and I just fell in with them by shear accident, and we had to get our hands on two Gespenst, two other pilots had switched out of. I'd not call it a super prototype, to be honest and there's already more than on MKII kais."

Russel seems to think differently when it comes to prototypes from how he's talking at the moment. ht takes a moment to think.

"Well still you made it through the war and that counts for something. It's still a bit odd given Bian's final orders to his men were to rejoin the government's forces..."

Yes, that's pretty odd, though at that point I was just happy that I was still alive.

Anyway, I'm just happy to see another veteran professional soldier here.

"I'm not the only one from my old unit here actually. My squad leader is also here as well. I'm glad as well, we have a lot of green pilots we need to ride shotgun on so they will live to become veteran's as well. I thik that's part of why I'm here. I tended to help keep my comrades on their feet. My units normally contained a light repair rig, it's amazing how far that can go to keep someone going, or even alive."

More veteran soldier is good. Have you seen the rest of the people they have here? So many kids and mercenaries...

"The kids I don't mind they can learn and its our job to make sure they live long enough to do so. The mercenaries are a mixed bag to be sure. Least that Miss Greenfield is all right from what I know of her."
