Another Fine Mess

[1] Unity Group Base Hanger some weeks ago.

Russel looked up up at the newly arrived test machines from the Halloween Project. The new mark of the Gespenst's were impressive he could see the hard points for the various load outs the personal troopers could use and watched some the techs continue to unload the crates carrying the new mode parts. The amount of flexibility this would the machine was high he thought. Even more importantly it would save money given all the rolls it could fill with it's modular load-outs.

"Quite the bit of work. The real question now is the field testing ... with these new Gespensts."

[2] Just after the Announcement

Russel was in the mess-hall going over paper work while he munched on his lunch. Given his experience as a pilot already he often was in on reviewing some of the data on candidates for the Unity group. Given his experience in the Divine war it was useful for some of his superiors to have him help with eyeballing possible recruits for the growing organization. Even if the were elites they would also need others who could hold ground or cover more ground. Numbers always factored into things eventually.

"Lets see here, so we're officially in business now? Well this is certainly going to be a change of pace."

For a moment it takes Russel a second to understand which Cheesecake, Setsuko spoke of. After all given some of the pilot suits he's seen the ladies of the Unity Group wear? It could lead to confusion.

"Oh what's that? Your team need some help?"

You must have fought some really hard enemies, so Chief asked if you have any motion data. He and Toby were in adventures of their own, so they have their own data to swap in return.

"I see a motion data swap would be useful, and possibly get the LT off my back a bit. It would keep her busy for a bit, I think, so I have no problem with that at all. When would you like to make the swap?"

The sooner the better. I mean, when you are not busy.
[Setsuko gestures at the pile of paperwork.]

Russel puts down his papers and looks at Setsuko.

"I think this matters enough the paper work can wait a bit. It would be nice to have a break from it. So shall we?"

Oh, we're going now?

[That was easy. Probably the reason why Setsuko was sent to speak with Russel, and not angry mc boatlights.]

Alright, let's go then. Well... as soon as I find Chief and Lt Watson.

Where could they be at now?

Russel takes a moment to collect his things and moves to follow after Setuko.

"Humm I'm afraid you'd be the one to have a better idea where they might be, but it shouldn't be too hard to find them."

Chief likes to hang around the bar, doesn't he?

Nope Russel has no idea about the Chief and bars be they for drinking, or any thing else.

He'll follow after his companion of the moment a she knows the way better than he.
