A few strange phenomena were reported in the area around Mt. Daisetsu, and Dr Saotome sent Ryouma in the Eagle Unit to check it out. At first it seemed to be nothing... But as he gets close, the area turns out to be covered in a lush, tropical jungle - certainly not normal for this place!

Ryouma doesn't have much time to ponder this, however. As soon as he's close to the mountain, it explodes in a fiery blaze - the mountain turned into a volcano! And not just that, a strange, biomechanical monster bursts out of it - before the Getter pilot can get a better look at it, it smashes into his machine with great force and escapes, disappearing in the fumes! Eagle Unit is quickly losing altitude - and to make it worse, now it's under attack by armored, flying pterosaur-like creatures! At this rate Ryouma's going to crash in the jungle!

[Musashi enters Ryoma's field of view. A short, portly guy in a shabby school uniform who looks like he wrestles bears for a hobby.

He reaches over to behind a tree, where the rope is coming from.]

Watch your head.

[Yank, untie, fall.]

[Not even Ryoma can land on his feet from something like this, so there's a loud "oof" as he hits the ground and scrambles back up.]

A human? Are these things yours?

Yeah. You show 'em you're stronger than them and they fall into line pretty quick.

Heh. Guess apes can be smarter than humans, depending how you look at it.

[They don't seem to be smart enough to register that shit is being talked about them, though, which will probably make things easier. Anyway.]

The hell is going on here? I was supposed to do a flyover to find out, but we weren't expecting all this.

That's...a really good question. The whole valley is cut off, and when I came down from the mountain, half the people were turned into these ape guys. Also there's, like, lizard men or something wandering around?

They're up to no good is all I can say. I've been setting traps for them.
