Will they be here...I wonder?
[With another intense engagement against the Balmarians looking like it's just around the corner, Seta decides to make a direct request to her allies in the Kijin Realm. Remembering her talk with Princess Teoria, and more recently the new acting commander of Project Unification, she feels that it's only right. The situation is certainly dire enough to warrant it now.

[And half a day later: a stern-looking man in a black coat shows up by Sakihama Base. Despite being the one with the tall and imposing stature, he immediately and humbly kneels before Seta.]

"...You called for us, Your Majesty.
"If I may: to have to make my way here immediately instead of prioritizing the duties to be fulfilled in your stead...we must be on the verge of a truly great battle."

We are.
I have said that the Kijin from that side are not ready to meet with other worlds...not yet. However, out of those I met there, you are one of those I trust the most, Vallar. The same goes for those under your command.
Moreover, you are the fastest to adapt...that is why I require your presence here.
[The male Kijin smiles when he hears this.]

"I am unworthy of such praise.
"As always: we are here, and we await your command."
[Behind the man... are about a hundred white-haired, human-like individuals. They are dressed in blue and gold battle coats - all kneeling before Seta, just like the man who leads them. These are Kijin - lined up like a small medieval army, and even carrying banners to match.
Their numbers aren't exactly impressive compared to other armed forces that will face Balmar's might. But anyone familiar with Kijin would know that gathering even this many is no small feat. The last one to do that was Invicta himself.]
"We answer to the authority of our Holy Empress. All hail Her Divine Majesty."
"-All hail Her Divine Majesty!"
[The Divine Majesty in question suddenly flails.]

...Please keep your voices down...!

"I see. So I am to make an introduction...very well. I have prepared myself for such an occasion.
"I am Vallaris, head of the Kijin Imperial Guard and one of the four Generals serving Her Divine Majesty, Empress Seta. Please call me Vallar. I am 50 phases old, my hobby is disassembling objects, and my favorite food is meat. However, I dislike meat of aquatic nature.
"It is my duty to protect my Empress, but I am also responsible for treating wounds, repairs, logistics and cooking. I am a quick learner. My other tasks include cleaning up after Her Majest-"

-That is enough.

"...But, Your Majesty, is it not proper to highlight all of my responsibilities?"

I said it's enough. Please proceed to the reason you are here.
[Vallar looks disappointed, but complies.]

"We will be providing assistance to Unity Group...no, Project Unification, against all threats that oppose it. Our objective is to protect the Earth and its denizens.
"I understand that the Kijin of our realm may have been your enemies before. But rest assured: this is the case no longer. I am no stranger to the legends of this world, and it is an honor to be fighting alongside all of you."
[He looks over at Seta.]
"...Was that alright?"

[And the response he gets is a thumbs up.]

[Izuru isn't sure just how official is he supposed to be. But it's one of Seta's friends/minions so it should be fine, right?]
You can do so many different things, I'm impressed. Disassembling objects?
[Is that sorta like what Suruga is doing?]
From:
no subject
"To be good at repairs, one must first understand how objects are built. The best way to do this is to break them down to individual components."
[Vallar assumes a thinking pose.]
"...I have heard of you. The hero whose heroism is unmatched. Part of...Team Bunnies, correct?"
From:
no subject
Yeah, that's close enough. Seta must've told you a lot of stories, right?
From:
no subject
"Indeed. That you are a winged knight of silver and red, whose feats and desire to become a hero inspired Her Majesty to do the same.
"She also claimed that you are a handsome, suave gentleman who has a way with words. Many Kijin see you as an idol..."
[He pauses and takes another good look at Izuru.]
"But...please forgive me for saying this: you look nothing like what I imagined."
From:
1/2
But, err, you see...
From:
2/2
Ah!
You know how some heroes have a limiter? They can't go around at their full power so unless needed they seal it away, just like a sleeping mode.
It's sorta like that.
[Technically that's not a lie.]
From:
no subject
"Hmm, just like Her Majesty... I see, the two of you are very much similar."
[And just like that, the bluff was bought. Not like it's completely a lie anyway, right?]
From:
no subject
So, umm. This is your first time to Earth, right? Do you like it?
From:
no subject
"Yes. However, it is a confusing place, with many rules and regulations.
"Even with my leadership and sense of direction, we were lost for hours before finally arriving here. At times, we were held up not knowing what to do."
[Flashback to the entire army getting stuck at a pedestrian crossing somewhere in Sakihama.]
From:
no subject
[That sounds like Kijin alright...]
But someone helped you in the end so it's fine. I guess.
From:
no subject
"We were fortunate that a kind, elderly human showed us the way. We offered to assist her in return by carrying her belongings to her home, and she was pleasantly surprised.
"Either way, missing an important battle by being late would be a waste. Especially against...
...
"Who will we be fighting, again?"
From:
no subject
[Is this really going to be alright?]
From:
1 and 2 sorta
An automatic door slides open as Astara stumbles her way towards the gathering of Kijin still half asleep, rubbing one eye with her hair still in a mess.]
Who's making so much noise this early...ah Seta you're up already?
Do you want to get something? You've been craving Sushi since you've gotten back here right, right?
[The Kijin grabs her friends shoulders in a playful fashion, still completely unaware of the scene around her.]
From:
no subject
[Vallar cuts in by giving Astara a questioning look.]
"What is a... 'sooshi'?"
From:
no subject
[The unfamiliar voice snaps Astara from her sleepiness and she turns to look at the source and finds the kneeling army.]
...
[Her sudden attempts pat down her bed hair fail as she realizes what she's looking at.]
From:
no subject
"Actually, I recognize you as well...Her Majesty spoke of you often - possibly more than she spoke of anyone else from Earth."
[Seta addresses the sleepy doge Kijin too.]
Astara, this is my friend, and with him are the brave warriors he leads.
Please say hello, everyone.
[The large group of derpy creatures wave awkwardly in the background.]
"Hello."
From:
no subject
[This derpy creature returns the wave, still trying to hide her embarrassment.]
My name is Astara Kellin...it's nice to finally meet you all.
From:
no subject
'So she's Sirius' heir? Crap.'
'Are we really going to be okay...?'
'I don't know, but I didn't sign up for this...'
[Fortunately, their General steps in by raising a hand.]
"Calm down. You speak of a friend of Her Majesty. She is as trustworthy as Cebrail, Memno, Kalash and myself."
[He then looks at Astara.]
"Your father had quite the reputation as well, as you can see. Berserker Sirius was not a foe any Kijin wanted to face during the Great War."
From:
no subject
[This is the first time she's ever heard of this, the father she knew was calm and carefree. If he ever got into fights it was usually for a good reason.]
If I may ask...how did he acquire the first part of that name?
From:
no subject
"I was not there to see it myself, but the accounts say that among the ones considered 'traitors' then, he was as infamous as the one he chose to follow.
"Fortuna and Shahryar were great warriors, but Sirius... had a tendency to go into a state of feral rage that allowed him to turn tides. So, I understand why some of my men are worried."
...
From:
no subject
[Astara looks rather dismayed by this sudden knowledge. Given everything her father taught her about combat she found it hard to believe that it was the same person.
Then again given the times she lost her own temper she couldn't honestly say that this took her completely off guard.]
I guess he must not have been much of a General then if he gained a nickname like that...
From:
no subject
"On the contrary: those with such qualities tend to attract others with similar ones.
"I speak not only of his closest friends, but also his followers."
From:

If you're going to support us, you'll probably hear me a lot. I work as mission control.
From:
no subject
"You are...the one of peerless intellect."
[Vallar bows slightly.]
"It is an honor to meet you in person. You may not be aware, but tales of your feats inspired us to develop a similar role for our combatants."
From:
no subject
And mission control or some form of tactician is a basic part of military operations.
From:
no subject
But in the meantime, Vallar nods.]
"For Earth, yes. The Kijin World does things very differently...or, I should say, did.
"Until Her Majesty spread this knowledge to the many Kijin scattered across our realm, very few of us had a grasp of what you call tactics and strategy. We could only follow the flow of a battle, not control it.
"Even then, she claims her knowledge of it is limited. And that what little she knew, came from you, Kei Kugimiya."
From:
no subject
From:
no subject
"That would be another way to put it. We expect to see great things from you."
From:

From:

As Vallar has mentioned - things that are regular to Earth are new to the Kijin. I am sure that they will learn new things from you, even if you act as you usually do.
[While saying this, the Empress nudges her subordinate with her elbow.]
"A-Ah, ahem, yes, precisely. You see...I am also here to learn as much as I can, and chronicle the events of Earth on behalf of those who had to stay behind in our world."
From:
no subject
From:
no subject
"Do not worry about that. We may not seem like it, but we are quick to adapt. One way or another, it will be useful.
"I am far more concerned about what we will be facing here. The legends spoke of Unity Group as a mighty force on its own, but now it is much larger..."
[The taller Kijin turns to Seta as he says this.]
Well...I do not know where to begin...
From:
no subject
From:
no subject
"...So this is what you meant by 'any help you can spare would be appreciated', Your Majesty. You know that all four of us would not hesitate to come to your aid had you requested it."
Yes...I do not want to burden you even more. You, Kalash, Cebrail and Memno were already taking care of things for me.
"I understand.
"But against such enemies, we will require the full might of our own forces to stand a chance. That includes withdrawing every available warrior from the lawless regions..."
[Seta shakes her head slowly.]
We cannot afford that.
And...Earth is never alone. Even if outnumbered, it has been fighting battles like these for a long time...
If this is all we can spare without leaving our realm vulnerable, then we must make do with what we have.
From:
no subject
From:

"..."
[Vallar closes his eyes, looking hesitant.]
"I will do what I am able to, in that case. Since Kei Kugimiya says this as well, I will not reject that wisdom."
From:

From:

Um...Eva Barton. It's alright if you haven't heard of me, I'm not a very special pilot.
...The other three generals are still in the Kijin realm?
From:
no subject
"...You are a powerful Sy-Kick, are you not? There are not many of us who possess the ability to turn minds inside out. It is a fearsome power.
"And that is correct. They are close companions of Her Majesty and myself, who wanted to be here as well. Unfortunately, the Kijin World has its own problems, and it was decided through the Great Battle that only my men and I would go through the Gate."

"...Many of us did not expect Her Majesty to accept the title, but here we are.
"Her position is as real as Invicta's. But she still has much to learn."
From:

My name's Toshikazu Asagi, by the way. I don't know if Seta mentioned me.
From:
no subject
[Vallar nods at the last bit though.]
"I have heard of you, but I have also been told that you do not like the fame that comes from your achievement."
From:
no subject
From experience, I learned there are different kinds of fame. Some of them less fun than others.
From:
no subject
[Vallar slowly nods.]
"I understand how you feel.
"I am famous in the Kijin Realm for fearing foods based on aquatic lifeforms. In fact, the smell in the air associated with large bodies of water is enough to make me nauseous."
[Seta quietly looks away when he mentions this.]
From:

You should be careful on Earth. It's called the blue planet for a reason.
From:
no subject
"I was already informed of this. In fact, this location is very close to one such body of water.
"I will try to be careful. Thank you for your concern, Asagi Toshikazu."
