[1] [Slightly backdated a bit]
[With both Lenore and Kazan captured by Carina, a certain "leader" of the Kijin has been keeping busy trying to answer for what happened with Carina and the Gatekeeper to certain parties. After several long days of having to hear about how she failed with her responsibilities from both members of both the ESUN and her own race she is not in a great place.
After all of that it's not too surprising to find her hiding from her responsibilities at a familiar tree at the edge of the woods by Alhambra. From the expression on her face it is easy to tell that she's not in the best of moods and she seems to be ranting to herself.]
Even when I try to fix things, I keep messing them up... I should have just kept Kazan on me or...gotten there earlier or...something.
[Unfortunately she can't escape her biggest critic, herself. ]
Some leader I turned out to be...
[2] [Locked for now?]
[Several days later the Unity Group receives a distress signal coming from Gloster. Rather than waiting for a coordinated response Astara decides to leave far ahead of anyone else in the Unity Group, returning to Gloster as soon as she possibly could even if it meant returning alone. She had a feeling in her gut that she knew exactly who was attacking the Foundation and she would be damned if she let Carina get away with attacking her people.
Upon her arrival she finds dozens of Crafts already in combat with more fake copies of Seta's Craft. The ultimate insult to her and the memory of her best friend.]
Carina....you're going to pay for this.

Also there is something unusual about one of the Vengeances. The weapon it's wielding - is that...?]

[it should have been in the Gatekeeper but she really didn't have time to think about it.
As the fake Crafts rush at her Maxwell's limbs emerge from emblems around her and slam into them as Astara begins to chase after the Vengeance carrying the blade.]

Like a meteor, the Vengeance breaks through barriers as it heads deeper, towards the underground chamber where the Gate is located. There, it crashes into the Gate, causing a ground-shaking explosion of fire! Nothing remains from the Craft, except for Kazan itself, the blade now embedded into the Gate. The Gate that, while previously inert, now starts to activate...]

[As fast as she was and as many tools as she had, she had no idea that the fake Craft would try to pull off something like that. When she finally manages to catch up to it what she finds is the Gate beginning to activate once again.
Her immediate response is to attempt to retrieve Kazan from the Gate. However...]

"Well then. What do we have here?"
[Carina's voice! Accompanied by more enemy reinforcements, the Gatekeeper enters the battle!]

[Her anger is seething and as much as she wanted to deal with the Gate, Carina was the more pressing matter at hand. ]
You made a really really bad choice coming here.

[Carina sends the Gatekeeper's giant claws flying towards Astara's Craft!]

I'm not going to match it, I'm going to tear it apart.
From:

"Oh really? Is that how yout idea of tearing apart looks like?"
[Astara is being slowly pushed back, however. But at the same time, this leaves the Gatekeeper open to a counterattack. This could be a way to change the odds...!]

[And with that opening Astara leaps up onto the Gatekeeper's arm and charges straight at the chest of the machine, Maxwell's arm igniting in flames before she delivers a barrage of extremely powerful strikes onto the oversized statue. ]

"Have you forgotten? The Gatekeeper you fought previously was incomplete. And now that it's finished, it's completely invulnerable!"
[Carina's gloating is accompanied by another burst of power emanating from the giant.]

I guess you heard all of that.

You're still our friend, you know.

This kind of thing is hard and complicated. The best course of action is never obvious.

It seems like every time I tried to do what was right it ended up worse. When I tried to convince Seta that Fortuna was up to something we just ended up fighting, when I let Seta try to destroy Invicta with her injuries I had to...
Even when I left leading things mostly in Circe and the Council's hands because I wanted to take care of all the rogue Kijin that were left from when the Earth was brought into the Kijin realm and that just made the distance between me and the people I'm supposed to lead grow larger.
And finally with Lenore I tried taking a stand which lead this situation.

Because... screwing up when you had only the best intentions in mind - that's the Fail Five way. And then Fail Five became Team Rabbits.
