[One would think that, what with a battle with an ancient eldritch abomination closing in Calvin would be using something a bit more powerful. Instead he's just making sure his Genoace is fully loaded up with everything it needs in terms of ammunition and weapons.]
Lets see now... DODS gun, check. Rifle. Check. Pistol. Check. Spare ammo. Check. Vulcan ammo. Check Flares. Check. Smoke. Check. Explosives. Check.
Picture of Lor taped up in the cockpit....
[He pauses to look around the interior of his machine before checking his wallet.]
...In progress.
"Edwards. We need to talk!"
[It was at this point Calvin grimaces tightly and steps back onto the gantry, glaring down to spot the face of Representative Caroll and a pair of OSI agents with her. As much as he wanted to brush her off, there was also the matter of getting to shove the whole 'I told you so' at her as well. So with little else he makes his way back down.]
Alright Caroll. Make it quick-

"...You were right."
I'm sorry what.
"I said you were right. It was exceedingly foolish of us to ignore your reports, especially when they were substantiated by further collaboration from the Unity Group. The Office simply let its image of you interfere with our work, and for that we offer our apology."
[Calvin gives a glance at the two agents. The bitter, irritated looks, the stern neutrality on Caroll's face. The body language. This... wasn't sincere at all. More likely it was an official apology to save face.]
That's all well and good but-
"As such while the OSI has taken heavy damage during the attack on the Head Office we can still use our contacts to try bring in as many ESUN affiliated troops as we can to support this... whatever this operation the Unity Group is going to enact."
..... No. No you're going to use those contacts to shore up whatever other ESUN operations that need help. The Unity Group however is talking care of this one ourselves.
"..Ex... excuse me?"
You're the one whose always telling me to think Logically. You think about it. The Ebon Court in itself avoided detection until now, took on several extended operations to capture and cease its operations. During that time anything resembling conventional forces didn't stand a chance. And we're taking on the being that demolished their entire civilization.
Considering what your late boss and his associate were capable of, zombification - mind control and all. I'd say whatever help you can drum up will be more of a hindrance than a help.
"Well... I see... if....that is the case then I hope your operation goes well. If... it is successful we hope that you would consider rejoining the OSI. I think we've-"
Mm. Yes yes. If you can kindly go on your way, you're delaying preperation for an important ESUN operation. Move along.
[He makes a shooing motion at Caroll. From the frown that creased her face was downright legendary. Clearly the irony was not lost on her as she stormed away with her lackeys in tow. It was at this point Calvin let out a thunderous sigh and paid a glance to his trembling hands before clenching them tightly, trying to get his nerves in check.]
This... this is going to work out.... right?
[Talk to a now considerably irritated Caroll? Or talk to Calvin?]

I'm not really an expert at this. This is just common sense, but I'm not sure if it really applies here.
