[It went without saying that the moment the pair got back to Sakihama after the debacle in Malaysia, Volya and Interitus were completely wiped from the battle physically and emotionally. Both were curled up on a sofa, the former still feeling the phantom pains of the latter who looked battered, bruised and burned. And to top it all off...]

Uuugh...

[Volya promptly let out several coughs, hacking up something unpleasant into a tissue and tossing it into a pile before weakly groping close by for a bottle of water.]

"Told Volya should have worn mask."

[The Haze has claimed yet another victim.]

[Volya's going to gratefully accept the now moved bottle and drinking the contents somewhat clumsily.]

[Interitus flops one of her arms lazily, trying to get at the bottle so she could have a drink too.]

Guess that's one advantage of not being normal.

[A few vines sneak out of one of Interitus' sleeves. Clearly too lazy to actually use hands they carefully wind around the bottle to bring it to her mouth to drink. A burbling sound that was close to how she used to vocalize if it was done underwater is her reply.]

... Do you know how Mr Rand and the other SSR pilots are doing?

Not very well. Rand has recovered, but... it's hard to be happy with circumstances as they are, isn't it?

[Volya frowns at this, flailing lazily at the literal flower girl.]

[Volya lets out another heavy cough as a vinr suspended tissue slapped itself over his mouth before flinging the now ick covered thing away.]

[A Gebian walks by, pushing a steel table on wheels, full of very big syringes. The alien carries one in an insectoid arm, too.]

[Yeah no. Like any kid his age he's going to try flee far away from all the needles. Interitus stops him though.]

[The Gebian doctor approaches, looking at Volya from several directions. Then he (she?) puts away the needle and hands him over a bottle of some liquid. It looks like cola. The markings on the bottle have a suspiciously familiar white and red pattern too, though the letters are in a weird, unknown language.]
