[Returning to the Star Rose after the battle at the Saotome Labs, Kei was even more quiet than usual.
A few hours later, she can be found occupying a kitchen in the UG base at the side, mixing something in a bowl, with a cutting board covered in chopped chocolate standing next to it. Despite the apparent domestic happiness of the scene, she has a largely blank expression on her face and her movements are unfocused as if her mind is clearly on something else.

Not that the Unity Group or those who founded it would let that happen, I'm certain we will be active in some fashion or another for at least a few months after all is said an done while we're being "decommissioned" to keep anyone from being too greedy with their power plays. So by the time you go back to whatever they had planned for after the invasion you'll be fully versed in the maneuverings of politics, aren't you glad? [The last is said somewhat teasingly with Stella's own distaste creeping through.]

[Taking the powdered sugar and butter she had softening Stella mixes them and moves them a stand mixer to properly mix into frosting.] So I don't remember if I ever asked about how you got into baking. Was it just that you found you had a sweet tooth and started to work on it afterwards?

And, yes, that's pretty much how I started. There was also the need to find something to do after classes. But, well, I find it relaxing to do so.

And if it ever bothers you that I might sometimes seem to treat you as a bit of a kid off the battlefield don't feel too bad about it, I do the same thing to Yuuya at times and he's got a few years on you, bothers him just the same. [She softly chuckles at the admission.]

[Stella notes how the frosting is finished and turns off the mixer as she continues.] I know you and your team are well trained and have proven to be invaluable assets on the battlefield but I still worry because there's still a lot you haven't seen and done, it's just sad if anyone your age perishes on the battlefield and even the ones that don't lose something. You were mentioning earlier how it's not always the rational things you fear and how you have a lot to worry about, well this is just one of those things for me.
