There's something of a startling occurrence as a number of ships arrive in the Earth Sphere, one particular large one at the fore. However it seems that for a change they are not interested in war! No, these ships come to Earth under a banner of parley for they had received a message from acquaintances who had someone on the planet regarding the presence of a criminal as well as not one but both Princesses.
If it isn't obvious enough? The message that follows should probably explain everything.
"People of Earth, I hold the honor of speaking for The Great King of Magnolys Unathi Nelfess ,seventh of his name, and Fifty Seventh Monarch to have ascended upon the Sunlit Throne! By his decree we have no hostility against your home and hearth and simply seek to collect for trial and punishment a criminal who is responsible for a deed most heinous as well as seek out his daughter First Princess Peola Amalia Tsertemina Renata Nelfess. Your cooperation in these matters would be most appreciated and should fortune favor it, his highness will seek to reach his hand to your leaders to seek accord! So it be said, so it shall be done!"
It wasn't long before the ships made planetfall and found a place to land that would allow them access to a city without disrupting its infrastructure. It looks like Peola has no place to hide anymore.

Not long after their arrival the group that moved through the area definitely stuck out from the crowd. Standing at their head was a giant of a man with an intricate crown of gold and was clad in an armored garb and a fur cloak. Accompanying him were knights and armsmen of smaller stature but were no less intimidating, as well as the burly figure who wore robes of such officiousness and pomp that they were a strong contrast to his build. Following them were men and women clad in all manner of finery and trim, some carrying themselves with arrogance and others with composure... nobility without a doubt. Trailing after them were servants of a multitude of description, clad in seemingly simple robes covered with intricate designs.
There was a large amount of howling and screaming as Serak, the King's wife was dragged past his entourage. Several shuffled away with discomfort... the King however gave his former wife a completely dispassionate look, nodding at an old man in robes of red and gold who stood in the shadow of his personal guard. The wizened figure seemingly flickered out of existence, only to reappear close by the guards who had the misfortune of having to haul away their monarch's deranged spouse and accompany them for reasons unknown.
How do you greet the newcomers?

"So I am to speak through this device and it will ensure I am heard?"
There's a confirmation from one of the techs. Apparently after hearing of her father's arrival Peola had decided to hide deeper in one of the Unity Group bases. This however did not prevent the king from arriving at one of them with ESUN's consent where he would use the communications systems in order to speak to his daughter.
"Thank you for your assistance... Now then..."
The king calmly clears his throat before bellowing into the mic.
"DAUGHTER! CEASE THIS FOOLISHNESS AT ONCE! HIDING UNDERNEATH A DESK AND REFUSING TO SPEAK TO YOUR FATHER IS BENEATH THE DIGNITY OF A PRINCESS!"

With the Peola finally finagled out of her hiding place, she is finally meeting with her father... though not alone. Due to things spoken over the comms it seems that the Princess had panicked and... accidentally declared to the King she was marrying someone. Currently she's standing in front of her father like a kid who had their hand caught in the cookie jar. Thankfully she isn't alone.

"We have much to speak of Peola... many things have happened in your absence.... however... before we go into that..."

"Is THIS who you have chosen to wed?!"
The king is now rushing up to you with a critical eye!

"There's a reason why Magnolys has remained a monarchy Dido Sybil. Our world's previous attempts at other forms of government led to absolute chaos with numerous nation states of varying leadership tearing at each other before my ancestor and the first monarch of Magnolys fought to put a stop to the bloodshed."
The King's tone was surprisingly unoffended, rather he had the voice of a patient teacher trying to do his best to get the point across.
"Perhaps some may see her actions as possibly being that of a conqueror and a tyrant... but when one considers that Magnolys remains whole to this day, it can be said that what works for some civilizations is different from others."
"...Either way I am afraid that Peola's days of remaining a warrior alongside all of you are coming to a close."

She glances at Peola. "But you're only one perspective. Peola, is what he says about Monarchy and regal duty and aristocratic mish-mash true from your view?"
From:

Wha-?
[Peola was immensely distracted, looking up in surprise before stumbling out a reply that trailed off.]
Its... well its sort of true... the histories say that a lot of the democracies and old republics during the age of chaos were...

"Which is a total double standard, by the way," Dido adds, "since your brother didn't have to do that to be the heir..."

I don't know.

She folds her arms. "You've got a heavy duty to Magnolys and her people, Peola. There's only one thing I know for sure: if you want to do good for your world..."

"What."
The King's statement was very flat and from the look on his face Dido he seems to resent simply just being pointed at like that.
"Explain to me how this leap in logic you have made even comes anywhere close to doing any sort of good for Magnolys."

Enjoy Dido's finger, majesty, because it ain't going anywhere.
"A society that faces collapse if one person refuses an arranged marriage," Dido says, "is not a society that works! It's a society on the cusp of decay. It's a society that needs to be reformed, revitalized...challenged! It needs a ruler that'll shake up the status quo, root out corruption, and reward merit no matter how the pampered establishment bleats! A queen shackled to a shotgun wedding can't make such change happen..."
And now Dido's finger swings off the King...and onto Peola. "But maybe a Runaway Princess can," she says.

There is a low rumbling noise from the king that sounded all the world like the start of an earthquake... or the beginnings of a volcanic eruption.
"And just what would you know of responsibility? Of leadership? What would you know of the duty of a monarch? Of carefully treading in order not to cross the line between just rule and tyranny?"
He regards Dido with a fiery look in his eye though he had not raised his voice.
"Your defense of my daughter is commendable and your loyalty worth respect... but your ignorance is insulting. How many suitors would have been considered acceptable, only to have been turned away until only the very worst remain? How would the people feel about the fact that their princess chose to flee from her responsibilities rather than face them like her brother would have done?"
"How could she even think to force the burden of Kingship on her brother as he is... maimed, sickened and fragile? And who are you to encourage the very thought of sending my son to his grave in such a way, wasting the very life he put on the line for his people countless times out of love of his kingdom and its people."
With that he turns to his daughter, catching Dido's hand in a strong grip as he forced it down back to the mechanic's side.
"Daughter... for all our differences... I implore you. End your self imposed exile... I will not be against a marriage on Earth but for the sake of your brother and the kingdom... this has to happen."
With that the King releases Dido's hand and turns away.
"I leave you to your friend's counsel... we will speak further when the time is right."

"Oh geez," she wheezed to Peola. "He could have blown me to bits with a flick of his fingers, couldn't he?"

Having to deal with ruling hasn't slowed him down at all...
