There's something of a startling occurrence as a number of ships arrive in the Earth Sphere, one particular large one at the fore. However it seems that for a change they are not interested in war! No, these ships come to Earth under a banner of parley for they had received a message from acquaintances who had someone on the planet regarding the presence of a criminal as well as not one but both Princesses.
If it isn't obvious enough? The message that follows should probably explain everything.
"People of Earth, I hold the honor of speaking for The Great King of Magnolys Unathi Nelfess ,seventh of his name, and Fifty Seventh Monarch to have ascended upon the Sunlit Throne! By his decree we have no hostility against your home and hearth and simply seek to collect for trial and punishment a criminal who is responsible for a deed most heinous as well as seek out his daughter First Princess Peola Amalia Tsertemina Renata Nelfess. Your cooperation in these matters would be most appreciated and should fortune favor it, his highness will seek to reach his hand to your leaders to seek accord! So it be said, so it shall be done!"
It wasn't long before the ships made planetfall and found a place to land that would allow them access to a city without disrupting its infrastructure. It looks like Peola has no place to hide anymore.

Not long after their arrival the group that moved through the area definitely stuck out from the crowd. Standing at their head was a giant of a man with an intricate crown of gold and was clad in an armored garb and a fur cloak. Accompanying him were knights and armsmen of smaller stature but were no less intimidating, as well as the burly figure who wore robes of such officiousness and pomp that they were a strong contrast to his build. Following them were men and women clad in all manner of finery and trim, some carrying themselves with arrogance and others with composure... nobility without a doubt. Trailing after them were servants of a multitude of description, clad in seemingly simple robes covered with intricate designs.
There was a large amount of howling and screaming as Serak, the King's wife was dragged past his entourage. Several shuffled away with discomfort... the King however gave his former wife a completely dispassionate look, nodding at an old man in robes of red and gold who stood in the shadow of his personal guard. The wizened figure seemingly flickered out of existence, only to reappear close by the guards who had the misfortune of having to haul away their monarch's deranged spouse and accompany them for reasons unknown.
How do you greet the newcomers?

"So I am to speak through this device and it will ensure I am heard?"
There's a confirmation from one of the techs. Apparently after hearing of her father's arrival Peola had decided to hide deeper in one of the Unity Group bases. This however did not prevent the king from arriving at one of them with ESUN's consent where he would use the communications systems in order to speak to his daughter.
"Thank you for your assistance... Now then..."
The king calmly clears his throat before bellowing into the mic.
"DAUGHTER! CEASE THIS FOOLISHNESS AT ONCE! HIDING UNDERNEATH A DESK AND REFUSING TO SPEAK TO YOUR FATHER IS BENEATH THE DIGNITY OF A PRINCESS!"
[3] [Post-Prompt 2]
With the Peola finally finagled out of her hiding place, she is finally meeting with her father... though not alone. Due to things spoken over the comms it seems that the Princess had panicked and... accidentally declared to the King she was marrying someone. Currently she's standing in front of her father like a kid who had their hand caught in the cookie jar. Thankfully she isn't alone.

"We have much to speak of Peola... many things have happened in your absence.... however... before we go into that..."

"Is THIS who you have chosen to wed?!"
The king is now rushing up to you with a critical eye!

The King is not going to give any ground to Ashe, simply looking right back at her with a deep frown.
"If you are speaking of my method of ensuring that my daughter has a suitable suitor then speak unobtusely. What grievance do you have in regards to it?"

"I advise you to choose your words with exceptional care. I am a guest here upon your planet that is true, however there are limits to my patience young lady."
"I have my reasons, especially now more than ever as to why my daughter must marry. If any of the Suitors were truly as bad as you say I can trust my daughter to see them off herself, but that she sends away all of them is irresponsible to her duties!"

You're her dad! You're supposed to care more about her happiness than some dumb "responsibilities"!

The King's reply was quite terse indeed, his lips thinning under his voluminous beard.
"Clearly however all of you are not dead and that is of considerable relief to all involved... and when I had found out about what that scoundrel had done I had him punished accordingly."
"And if you think that I do not care about my daughter's happiness then you are wrong. But at the same time I have a duty to the entirety of my kingdom. Perhaps my daughter has had to deal with many unsavory folk, but had she not been so stubborn in her refusal perhaps the more reasonable candidates would not have been demoralized from even attempting to woo her."
"Nothing... nothing would make me happier than to have my children live the rest of their days in contentment and joy... but our family has the burden of power and leadership, and with these burdens come a responsibility to our people."
From:

Alright. So. It's all about being a good Queen, then? Marrying to make sure there's an heir and all that fairy story stuff?
See, this is why I don't like the whole destined power thing. That and it reminds me way too much of Albert's "King of the world" ramblings... [And for the democracy argument (that nobody hears) we have Model A]
From:
no subject
"That is an oversimplification... but yes. Peola for all intents and purposes is now the current heir apparent... and as such it falls on to her to continue the line."
"The Royal line has always had the responsibility of ensuring that Magnolys is guided by a Ruler capable of great strength, discipline and compassion for the days before the First Monarch were absolute chaos. It is no idle tale... but what must be done by those whom this duty falls upon."

Also, adoption is a thing.

"I will be most blunt. I know that both my daughters have no desire to rule. And as a matter of fact, neither did I in the days of my youth. Life and duty however tends to leave those of our line with little choice."
"And while taking in wards is an honorable act in itself... an adopted child would be harder pressed to prove themselves in the eyes of the court and the people. I will not dissuade my children from offering home, name and family to those who they wish to bring under their wing... but the heir apparent is duty bound to produce an heir of the bloodline."
"It is of utmost importance that she does marry in order to legitimize herself in the eyes of Magnolys! Especially since..."
The King pauses as a bitter expression falls across his face.
"... Especially since her brother is now unable to reclaim his place in the line of succession."
From:

...actually, yeah, if anything they should be super thrilled she's taking it careful. The bad choice already cost them the last heir.
Yeah! They should be happy she's taking it careful and screening everyone super hard.
[Shot status: fired.]
[Ashe's eyes narrow a bit] And if you say "it's different 'cause she's a girl and she needs a husband to do things for her" so help me I will personally go to your court and start kicking people until they get their heads out of their butts.

Well Ashe if your intent was to dig in a blow you managed to land a good one. The King was well and truly jostled by that comment.
"Perhaps I made a mistake when I was younger in believing that there was more to her than that lust for strength and battle. Something my family has paid for dearly! My Son-..."
The King actually chokes as he looks away, fists tight at his side. Peola had backed up considerably when things looked close to coming to blows.
"...My son was dearly beloved by the people of Magnolys. Had things gone differently I would have ceased my attempts."
"It is less that she is a woman and more that she's reckless. Her answer to dealing with her suitors was to fight them at every turn before she chose flee from her very homeworld to parts unknown. It is my hope that marriage would perhaps help her develop more care in her actions."
"More to the point... if she is unable to produce someone worthy in the eyes of both the court and myself as a candidate for Marriage, they will choose someone themselves... and while I am King, I would be inclined to respect their choice of suitor as my own decision was rendered moot by my daughter's indecision."

But if you want Peola to be "less angry and more careful", shackling her with an idiot she wants to strangle is really not a good idea. Take it from me, when you're having to deal with a guy you hate, "careful" is so not what happens.
She could always marry one of them for show and then have him have an "accident" two days after the wedding, I suppose. That'd be easy to arrange.
Model A! That's awful!
Sorry! [Model A, your Albert is showing]
From:

"I will endeavor to keep that in mind..."
Unathi raises an eyebrow at the onesided conversation... but he does spare Model A a glance.
From:

Right. This is my friend, Model A. He speaks, though most people can't hear him. Which is good in this case because sometimes he has terrible ideas. [The hunter shoots the biometal a look]
I still say it could work, and it's not like it'd be much lost if it's another idiot like that Kiliment guy...
Moving on.
[She turns to face the King again, her eyes accusing again]
Anyway, we're getting offtrack. See, we've been talking for a bit, and all it looks like to me is like what you want is to tie Peo down. You wanna "shackle" her with someone so she's more "controlled". Which has to be the most incredibly backwards way of looking at a boyfriend I have ever seen! [Ashe pushes at the king with an accusatory finger] You marry someone because you want to go forth into life and adventure together forever, not because you need a weight on your shoulders so you don't move too much, for pity's sake! That's, like, the opposite of how a relationship should work!
If she finds a guy - or a lady, 'cause I remind you that's a thing - that she likes, I'm all for it, mister King. But I'm not going to let your "court" push a load on my friend to satisfy a bunch of strangers. Especially a bunch of strangers that didn't seem to have much trouble accepting either you or her brother, and neither of you so much as have a girlfriend, so I'm having trouble believing that her being a girl is not the sticking point here.
