[Calvin is standing before the Stone door with a very wary look. He probably shouldn't have brought along a particular stone with him... but it was better to have it on hand in case they found something inside. He feels his stomach churning in a horrific way that Asagi would be familiar with on bad days. With this he carefully looks back to the others accompanying him.]
On a scale of one to ten, how much of a bad feeling are you getting from whatever might be behind here?

[After everything that has happened Calvin has retired back to his quarters. As soon as the bag holding the Stone is put away... he crashes to the floor, curling up into the fetal position and shaking badly with a wide eyed expression. Clearly the day's excitement along with discovering the fact that Project Pedantic Blue not only existed... but there had been actual living physical proof of it on the same base as he was currently occupying freaked him the hell out.]

[Calvin's poor brain is getting even more strained by the tremendous damage being afflicted upon the fourth wall. Even more so he looks deeply anxious about the fact that his habit of internal monologues in the style of detective noir novels and movies was uncovered for the second time. It's all he can do to play dumb.]

So, it really is a habit. And here I was thinking that you look like a ninja and a world-class magician wrapped in a calm, cool exterior...
[She's also getting uncomfortably close to you all of a sudden.]
Now you've gotten me curious. Tell me, what part of me is like a deep river?

['Okay Calvin play it smooth. Just play it off like a world class detective.']
[He did his best not to lean back and try to keep as calm as possible. He just had to go with the flow and not think on the absurdity of the whole situation.]
Well... There was a lot more to you than meets the eye. I mean even before you turned a bit more... majestic... Though don't get me wrong. I have a feeling that face could melt a person's heart with a smile.
There's just a look in your eyes and how you carry yourself. Sure there's playfulness... But at the same time there's plenty of steel there. People see and hear the gentle movement and welcoming sight, but if they think they'd can just tread right through like you're just a minor inconvenience? They'd fall in and get washed away.
[Was this really the meaning behind what he said? Or was he just making a shot in the dark, simply narrating with words he felt were cool? It's hard to tell.]
Wait... World class magician ninja? Seriously?
[Now as much as Calvin actually seemed to like the idea.... Magic and the supernatural always had it out for him.]
I don't think my luck or reflexes are that good.

[Calvin coughs to the side weakly. No he's never had to deal with close proximity withsultry, beautiful women or anything of the like at all. Even with that incident in Romania. He still had chills with how close he came to being either a snack or a brain dead servant of the night. He unintentionally leaned towards that waiting hand, twitching a little as his face brushed against her fingers as he turned back to regard the transformed goddess.]
It's difficult not to show any admiration to someone like you ma'am. Though I have to ask what do you mean by taking the edge off...
[Most people would have dissolved into stuttering messes or just melted to the charms of Big Neppu. But Our intrepid investigator was... Actually somewhat oblivious to the context. His particularly irritating colleagues would have laughed at the 'wasted opportunity' that he missed citing it to another thing 'Spooky Calvin' botched.]
