It's a party! Cathy and Liz had their first real honest live-fire people-are-trying-to-kill-us-but-we're-alive deployment at Nora, and not only did they successfully not die, they even helped save the day! Setsuko likewise had her own professional debut in the field of not-dying during the hostage rescue! Good Idea Bear Cathy of course decided this calls for a night on the town. The Star Rose! Tourists, socialites, and Nora refugees looking to celebrate their own not-dying! Dinner! Drinks! Dancing! Young adults in high-risk professions bonding!

1. [semi-locked to invitees]
Setsuko seems the skittish sort, so Cathy's easing in to this with a simple meal in a nice restaurant - there are plenty of those in a location like the Star Rose! She's found a moderately classy Indonesian place, but not so classy as to throw off the mood for the rest of the evening she has planned. Of course, the more's the merrier, so she's sounded out a few other of the soldier types of drinking age in the Unity Group to come along!

2. [free for all]
Food's good and all, but its real function is to give soakage for drinks and energy for dancing! Do you stick with the group as they hit the bars and clubs, or run in to them there?

3. [point and laugh]
The morning after the night before! Well, morning by the clock, anyway, even if they kind of blended together. Whoever've lasted through the night are making their way home, some with some practice, others stumblingly. Are you among them, or up bright-eyed and bushy-tailed to mock their debauchery?

[Let's say this takes place after the Symphormers mission but before Macross. Continuity is flexible, so you can still be hungover for the latter, or not.]

Raquel loved to get out and club. The Dancing, The eye candy, the music and the drinks. Just the time to let go and perhaps give into one's own urges.

Tonight however she runs into friends as she notices Cathy, Liz and the others.

"Hey I did't expect to see some people I know here! Hows it going! Mind if I join you ladies for a bit I'm sure we can find some fun..."

[Setsuko waves happily, if in a slightly uncoordinated fashion.]

"Oh I won't and sometimes you need to cut lose like this. I know some real fun places around here we can have fun with also hey Setsuko you seem to be having fun!"

Yes! There is this kind of drink... it is a drink, but it's really sweet. That's good.

[Setsuko slightly slurries her way through the sentences.]

[Cathy knows, because Liz is helpfully keeping track of Setsuko's drinks as well as hers tonight. She doesn't want this experiment in letting her hair down to end with holding it back, after all! There are advantages to having a designated driver riding backseat in your own head.]

And sure, the more the merrier! Turns out the ensign here has some moves on her. Think you know somewhere that can handle her?

Raquel has a big old grin on her face and she looks over to Cathy as she shows her moves.

"Humm I think I do know a few clubs not stuff the base personal go to. Just be ready you may have to throw someone through a table if they forget the rule of look but don't touch. Still it doesn't happen too often."

We've all been enjoying ourselves!

[It's a little early in the evening to be enjoying each other. And Toby's right - this is meant to be a gentle introduction for Setsuko to the world of responsible irresponsibility, and the recommendation Raquel's making sounds like it belongs on Cathy's own try-later list, not tonight's itinerary. Even if Raquel's moves do look like something worth having along...]

We were gonna check out... [she pauses, lets Liz remind her] ...Corinth next, music's supposed t'be good, if you wanna join us?

Raquel can be quite the party animal she looks to Toby and nodes. Okay it was not the best idea to bring Setsuko along to somewhere like that, well not yet anyhow. She's also does seem to be enjoying the dancing herself.

"Sounds like a plan to me, Corinth should be good! I'd be happy to join you all!"

[Happy Setsuko clings to Raquel's side.]

Raquel does not seem to mind this at all.

[Liz clearly did her research; Corinth is a good choice! The vibe is energetic, the music's loud but not oppressive and with tables around the edges where you can hear each other speak while still seeing and being seen by the dancers.

Of course, just as soon as they've found a place Cathy's leading Setsuko out on to the floor.]

[In her current state, Setsuko doesn't need much encouragement. She eagerly bounces towards the dance floor.]

[Toby's fine with sitting at a table and looking at what his friends are doing. For now.]

[The fact that you're surprised by that is kind of adorable, Setsuko. Between the music, the crowd, her own movement and the younger woman's enthusiasm, Cathy's quickly having a blast. It's obvious she's both skilled and practiced at this, and she keeps up enough contact to lead Setsuko without crowding her. The grin on her face is broader and more completely genuine than it's been all evening so far - and she looked to be having a pretty good time already.

Of course, she makes sure to leave plenty of opening for others to join them.]

[Even with guidance, Setsuko is not the most graceful dancer. Her inebriated condition is probably to blame. But then, if it wasn't for it would she even have courage to go out and move to the music like that?]

[Oh boy, this is not an ideal educational environment! Cathy just hopes that being a little tipsy, aside from being a hindrance in its own right, will also keep Setsuko from being too frustrated about dealing with the noise, crowding, and lack of light while trying to figure out what to do. She tries to show rather than tell, cutting back to simple, core movements with as few complicating movements as possible, to start with. Move your hips, shift your weight, match the movement with your upper body, you can do this, Setsuko! You'd better be able to do this, because if Cathy has to come over and literally handhold you through it Toby may not survive the sight. Well, at least a little alcohol helps avoid overthinking every motion.]

Raquel seems pretty stoked to go partying with new friends even if it's for knows for how long. She find her way to the Corinth and she likes it. It doesn't take long for Raquel to get out on the dance floor either. She's quite quick to join Setuko and Cathy and she's joining i just fine she seem to have a food idea of how to do this too.

She's not saying much as she's doing more the show bit than talking as she keeps up with the pair for the moment. She's clearly having a heck of a good time! She's glad they didn't go to the club she suggested.

[She continues to dance, or rather sway to the music.]

[Bumping's fine, she can work with bumping. Much of her repertoire for this environment specifically calls for it, and she uses the contact to guide Setsuko along. The girl's obviously enjoying herself, so it's all good! And even if her performance isn't... sophisticated, it doesn't look bad even between the two more practiced dancers.

Cathy spares a glance over at the table, to see how likely any of the others are to join them. She still needs to break Willis' hip, after all.]
