[Peola lets out an irritated noise as she dragged herself out of the severely battered Regalis Filia. She gives the machine a somewhat irritable grimace at the sight of the smaller damages - most likely from the pin-like projectiles her sister used.]

They just get more and more worse every single time.

[She tiredly makes her way down the gantry before just settling down nearby, palming her face in frustration.]

Uuugh. What am I even complaining about. Just because that jerk and Ourania and their friends showed up doesn't mean its all bad... we beat the Gebians that wanted to wreck everything and I got a good fight out of it...

[Despite this though she feels more than a little...]

SO WHY THE HECK AM I SO ANGRY!?!

[...frustrated. She proceeds to punch a metal pillar next to her hard enough it left an indentation of her fist. She winces and holds her hand. It wasn't in too much pain but the impact stung a little. It was jarring enough to get her attention at least.]

My first actual fight in the Unity Group had terrorists... they had crazy powers and there were Noise there too. I'm guessing it was pretty rough. I don't really see the appeal in alcohol so...

Wait... transmute? Like... alchemy?

Alcohol's pretty great. It's not my main vice by a long shot, but it's nice every now and then. Kinda sad I can't enjoy it anymore...

And yeah, it's something like alchemy. More expensive and less magic, but I can still turn lead into gold.

What's your special trick? It's gotta be something cool.

Its... not really that special where I come from. Back home everyone learns how to use ki before they even walk.

Some people use it to heal or paint or entertain. I just use it to find new ways to punch people or hit them with a sword.

I don't know if I'm the best teacher... but I can try.

It'll be a little difficult though. Ki develops as you grow, the more you train with it over the years the more easier it is to bring out.

Well one of the people with him was my sister. She was the really annoying one in the Regalis Atrox. The huge dark one that made things out of Ki. Honestly I don't know much about the other two, but I know one of them at least was a soldier in the army with how they fought.

As for Phannuhel... his machine was a Regalis. Arma Machina are more common back home, they get used by our soldiers and the people rich enough to afford their own machina or home guard... heh... sometimes they get them as gifts...

But the Regalis Machina are different. They're usually only for the Royal Family, their Champions, the Palace Guards and soldiers of distinction - the one out of ten thousand kind. They're all one of a kind, forged specifically for the person they were meant for.

He's definitely not family, Ourania's too young to take a champion, I would have remembered him if he was a member of the Palace Guard... but I never heard of him either if he's the last one.

It'll be a year and a half in another month.

Maybe he's got important family... but it'd still take royal approval to have a Machina Forgemaster make a Regalis for someone.

Most of the time I can get a read on someone from how they feel on the surface. Everybody on Magnolys can do that. But... something about him felt... slippery. Like it kept changing...

Sorry, you're kind of hard to get a read off of. I'm getting all sorts of things that are just bumping into each other. Some people are easy to get and then there's the really complicated ones.
