You know how if you trace most foods to where they came from, you wind up with plants that take in sunlight?

I can't eat anything like that. Otherwise that-

Some mushrooms qualify, yes. There's also pretty much anything that is raised deep underwater, so deep that sunlight can't reach it. And lastly, there's any time kaiju meat winds up on food markets.

Those meals are always the best.

So you eat mushrooms, deep sea creatures and weeds, and monsters.

...Not much weirder than what half of my team prefers. At least you can make good sushi out of it.

... Though I'm wondering if it'll ever get to a point we can go back to La Gias and try the food out there. From what I've heard, the Sun there is different... so maybe the food there's edible for me.

Well yes, there's no sun inside Earth. That'd be insane, and I don't think stars can even be that small.

You should probably ask Dr Shirakawa about it, he spent a long time there and he had to eat something during his stay. Or his bluebird familiar.
