[After his last rather disastrous mission in Russia Yuuya had been re-routed to the Yukon base with Lt. Takamura, argos support staff, and the remains of the Shiranui Second. The consoles at UG bases are all tuned to the special reveal of the just what had been happening during that time frame.
With much pomp and ceremony the Shiranui Second Phase Two has been revealed. Tarisa is piloting the unit for the ceremony while Yuuya watches with Vincent from inside the hangar.]

[Upon return to Alhambra there are two of the newly revealed units, one with the rather blatant ceremonial paint job and the other with a much darker blue/black paint job. Exiting the brighter one Yuuya stretches and yawns as he disembarks.]
"Man, after all that mess in Russia and the rapid rebuild into phase 2 I'm glad to be back. Never thought things would be more relaxing at a front line combat base than a testing facility."

[Setsuko looks up at the new TSFs.]
These two seem... different somehow.

...Why do you say that?

But it's good to have you back, is the whole flight returning or just you?

How have things been holding up for you?

As for being more relaxing here I just finished a stint of 18 hour days rushing through the refit and upgrade of the unit so I'm looking forward to a bit of down time until the next mission comes up.

But it is nice to be back, probably about the closest place to home that I've got for now.

If it's not classified.

Really though most TSF weapons are hand held or mounted to pylons for carrying so the unit is the primary focus of development and testing.

And I wasn't thinking you'd shirk your duties, just that you might be given some time off from missions to settle back in.

As for settling in I was able to get clothes when they sent a runner for them and aside from that there isn't much more to need for me to worry about settling in too much. I don't really have much of a home outside the service anymore and there aren't any mementos to worry about keeping so most everything can be replaced with general issue supplies and a quick run to the PX.

[There's probably a bit more to it than just being misunderstood.]

On the other hand...I was concerned for you after the events in Russia.

As expected of TSF developers. They are always being really practical.

I'm glad you were able to get a chance with Astara, I met her when she came looking for you the first time and she was nice, a little odd, but nice.

The politics of this project really are unusual, we have international rivals working together to shore up Japanese domestic TSF manufacturing with an American lead test pilot while other political groups encourage using US or Russian designs. It's practical from the equipment sense but I'm just waiting for someone to play a political card and what havoc commence.

I'm just glad the Glory Star project didn't come with this kind of complications. Or maybe it did, and I just didn't know?

So this is your home. Don't you have anyone, or any place, waiting for you outside Unity Group?

It sounded like Madame had to fight through the other Foundation members to allow me to do just that...so, I will not waste the opportunity.

I wish I'd got a new mech like you though. They won't even let me to paint my Valkyrie with custom colours!

At least you have a place you can call home now. It's hard for a man to be happy if he doesn't have anywhere he feels he belongs.

But I will admit that the kids around here have grown on me more than I originally expected them to.
Probably because so many of them need some kind of help so frequently. [The last is blunted by a playful grin to carry over the joke/sarcasm]

I guess you could try going private and BUYING a Valkyrie to custom paint but even I don't get to pick what I pilot in this program or the color scheme.

Still, most of these kids are quite good at what they're do. Just lost in the huge world around them.
