ugyuuya: Yuuya Salute (Yuuya Salute)
([personal profile] ugyuuya posting in [community profile] srwu Aug. 29th, 2014 10:59 am)
[1]

[After his last rather disastrous mission in Russia Yuuya had been re-routed to the Yukon base with Lt. Takamura, argos support staff, and the remains of the Shiranui Second. The consoles at UG bases are all tuned to the special reveal of the just what had been happening during that time frame.

With much pomp and ceremony the Shiranui Second Phase Two has been revealed. Tarisa is piloting the unit for the ceremony while Yuuya watches with Vincent from inside the hangar.]

[2]

[Upon return to Alhambra there are two of the newly revealed units, one with the rather blatant ceremonial paint job and the other with a much darker blue/black paint job. Exiting the brighter one Yuuya stretches and yawns as he disembarks.]

"Man, after all that mess in Russia and the rapid rebuild into phase 2 I'm glad to be back. Never thought things would be more relaxing at a front line combat base than a testing facility."

Ah. So that's why you weren't around for so long...

[Setsuko looks up at the new TSFs.]

These two seem... different somehow.

[That remark catches Seta's attention.]

...Why do you say that?

I'm not sure that's true.

But it's good to have you back, is the whole flight returning or just you?

It feels good to be back at a place where the weather is not freezing cold, doesn't it? Not to mention the lack of aliens trying to bite you in half.

So you got a new mech? Congratulations!
majestic_keiki: (Shy smile)

Okay...That does sound more stressful. And I imagine the commanders might give you some time to recover before sending you on any further missions.

Ah, I see. How much different is it? Its performance is probably really good, but I wonder does it have special weapons or systems...

If it's not classified.

Unity Group's bases are quite impressive compared to what I was expecting. [Star Rose practically had them live in hotel rooms, after all.]

And I wasn't thinking you'd shirk your duties, just that you might be given some time off from missions to settle back in.

I meant calming down, recovering from the flight and such...

[There's probably a bit more to it than just being misunderstood.]

I have somehow earned another chance to approach Astara, to ask about what she is after. So, I suppose I am alright...

On the other hand...I was concerned for you after the events in Russia.

I see. So rather than going for expensive gimmicks, it is supposed to be a new generation machine, a prototype meant for mass production?

As expected of TSF developers. They are always being really practical.
majestic_keiki: (So tired)

I can imagine. The AHSMBs might be cutting edge experimental units, but I wouldn't want to stay in Purple-2 for hours or days on end...I imagine it would be the same with TSFs or any other military vehicle.

The political situation is getting so complicated recently... it really sounds like it's only a matter of time. But I hope it doesn't happen.

I'm just glad the Glory Star project didn't come with this kind of complications. Or maybe it did, and I just didn't know?

I see. I've never driven one, we mostly stuck to mecha of various kinds in my training and helicopters and the like for moving around on Earth. I can imagine sitting in an APC where you can move a bit and have a proper seat would be more comfortable.

You always must be ready for new adversity to appear. That's just how life is; even in Paradigm City, secluded from the outside world, new problems appear on an everyday basis.

So this is your home. Don't you have anyone, or any place, waiting for you outside Unity Group?

[Nod.]

It sounded like Madame had to fight through the other Foundation members to allow me to do just that...so, I will not waste the opportunity.

Pretty much. The TSEN is very practical. I've been doing a lot of sortie away from the Macross.

I wish I'd got a new mech like you though. They won't even let me to paint my Valkyrie with custom colours!
a_louse: (the truth is out there)

From: [personal profile] a_louse

I'm sorry to hear that.

At least you have a place you can call home now. It's hard for a man to be happy if he doesn't have anywhere he feels he belongs.

You'd expect an international organization that handles world-level threats to have higher average age, wouldn't you.

Still, most of these kids are quite good at what they're do. Just lost in the huge world around them.
ben_dixon: (sad)

From: [personal profile] ben_dixon

I just wish that I'm more like those kids you know? Who got super customized prototype and those kind of things.
