*The petition is apparently something about "Cadbury Bumblepatch is the real 15th Inspector. Petition to cast Cadbury Bumblepatch instead of Samuel Smith-Jesson Jr. in the 20th annual Inspector Spacetime Anniversary Movie.*

Why do I care about it? Why miss, if Samuel Smith-Jesson Jr is considered the 15th Inspector Spacetime and treated as such in the anniversary movie, it will mess up... no DESTROY the continuity of the series! We don't want that, right?

That's a good point, but I wonder about logistics about ordering a movie online... do you have money?

Anyway. That's not the point! Will the movie really be ruined if the actor is changed?

Of course! You see, Inspector Spacetime has limited incarnation through the authority given by his title. The character incarnation played by Cadbury Bumblepatch only appear in an interstitial between-arc episode as temporary incarnation. But that means he must be considered the 15th Inspector! It's not like Samuel-Smith Jesson Jr's incarnation is a bad one, despite what many blogs would tell you. But since this movie focus on the special time-fate of every third inspector, this distinction is important! This movie has a very specific premise! If they break the rule on this one, it will break the decade long continuity of the series! And that, is why this petition is significant. This isn't just about this one movie, the whole series is at stake.

"You know what? Yeah!" Dido signs the petition. "Cabury's a great actor, and deserves another shot at the Inspector's role! if only to make up for that wonky episode he appeared in!"

I think the writers realize that too. Maybe there's another reason why Bumblepatch cannot play the role? For example, he's busy. Or they cannot secure a contact with him anymore.

The most outrageous thing is that I can't convince some so-called "fans" that this is wrong.

Nothing by his own. He's not a bad Inspector, despite what some fanblogs might tell you. But he's just not the 15th Inspector, while this movie's premise is dealing with the special time-fate of every third Inspector.

Reggie is pretty controversial though. Some fans are still salty about the romance between him and his Inspector.
