I do not believe in destiny. Events happen as the consequences of other events, and actions undertaken by living beings. If you fail to change something, it could be due to a multitude of factors: opposing forces, mistakes, simply not having the power to influence the outcome, or something else. But "it was destined to happen that way" is not among these factors.
