[Jen's taken Cethlenn out for a spin outside Sakihama base, exploring the abandoned area above it. That smoky cloud it has oozes about, occasionally surrounding and utterly devouring a small building.]
Okay, so...What can I do with this...There's that railgun, a missile...Let's try...
[The smoke cloud gathers up into a small ball, heating to a dull red as it does so. A little while later it starts to cool down, and spreads out again-dropping a mecha-sized knife to the ground.]
...I wonder, if...
[It does the same thing again, but this time out pops a small (human scale) gold ingot.]

...That's...
...Okay, I think I can work with this.
[Not very long after, the area is littered with human-scale weaponry-knives, pistols, naginatas, a whip-along with all sorts of other random crap. Walking through the street Jen's picked out for practice is gonna be a pretty weird endeavor for some time to come.]

Was that real gold just now?

Well, I'll have to take it to a jeweler to be sure, but I think it is.

It sure seems that way!
...Though it's really more Cethlenn's powers than my own.
no subject
But I wonder what else can it make, now...
[Setsuko looks around. It's obvious where all these piles of weapons came from at least.]
no subject
...Though, I'm not sure what it can't make. If I had enough time, energy, and stuff to feed into it...Well, and the design for something, I could probably make just about anything...
no subject
But the question is, how much energy and matter does it need?

Its ability to construct things quickly is impressive, but the transmutation is on a whole 'nother level.
no subject
But, it's a good thing that you learn how to control this power.

Well, those Viper guys will have some surprises waiting for them, next time.
no subject
And please tell the Commander what your unit is capable of doing. So there won't be any surprises.

You made all of this out of thin air?

That's a pretty amazing gift, but it won't hurt to exert moderation. We should do something about this pile before some less scrupulous folks find it.

...If you help me gather up all this stuff, I can turn it into a block of platinum to sell. The money should cover fuel costs and let me buy some more...stuff to practice with.
no subject
[Roger throws the blade back on the pile.]
I can't help you with this. It wouldn't be fair. You'll have to gather it up on your own.
no subject
...Well, it's not like I can force you or anything. I'll just pick it up with Cethlenn, then.
Though, I'm not entirely sure how much money I can make with this...I'll have to buy fuel, and unless the UG's going to let me just tear apart more houses, the base matter too. Should be fine if I stick to things like platinum, though.
no subject
I'll ask Unity Group to cover your fuel and maintenance expenses. It's just a drop in the sea for them, anyway.
no subject
...Well, having them cover stuff this time is probably fine, but going forward I'll want to support myself. Being in debt isn't my style.

(Sorry about being late. I meant to tag before, but it's been a bad week.)
Happens to the best of us, no worries
[Jen's voice calls out from inside Cethlenn.]
I'm pretty sure I did!

...It'd be kind of hard to get to most of the places I like on short notice, but...hm, have you ever been to a host club? Though if you've got some formal wear, I can probably pull through a reservation for a nicer place.

And a host club...yeah, they're a lot like that, except confined to one building. You pay a cover charge, then pick which guy you like out of a book, and he comes to your table and hangs out with you. They sell drinks at a markup, and if someone else chooses the same guy as you then there's a kinda-sort-of bidding war for his time and attention.
It's usually really fun as long as you don't go to the same place a lot, they get kinda...weird, if you do.

the shame of a wrong party suggestion
Yeah...sure, that'll work.
...A bar would be nice too, but since I'm apparently immune to alcohol now...
Re: the shame of a wrong party suggestion
Let's just pretend jen got out before her second reply
Wait, magic?!

Was their a weird convention here, or something?
