"Hmph."
[The mock battles ensue, and while most of the attention is on the TSFs and their skilled test pilots...a few may notice the presence of an individual who is VERY out of place among the spectators at Yukon Base.
This may be because said individual is a silver-haired female wearing a long, very elaborate black dress with a feather-lined collar, and is sitting on an equally eye-catching garden chair that seems to be made of carved, black marble.]

"Of all the places to be sent to! For a display of combat abilities, this isn't even remotely entertaining..."
[She crosses one leg over the other with a bored look on her face, then slowly turns a half-filled wine glass in one hand while she sighs.]
"Well... I suppose the weather is still to my liking. But, I do wonder how my foolish student can endure being surrounded this way...
Ah~ to think of how much suffering she must be going through at this very moment... perhaps she even managed to wet her bed again."

"...Um...I am right here beside you, Madame. I can also hear what you are saying..."
"...Oh, I seem to have forgotten that. Do keep reminding me periodically. I am supposed to be on my best behavior, after all. Lapses in memory simply will not do."

[Seta takes a deep breath, twitching ever so slightly.]
"...I mean no disrespect; but, in that case...I should also remind you that you are not the only spectator here..."
[And indeed, around the two is a sizable crowd. Most of them are guests from other countries and such who have promptly backed away to create distance between themselves and the pair of weirdos. Who can blame them?]

"How strange...what you have just mentioned is precisely what I am doing. Before arriving, I was even told not to use a number of words that I normally would to describe this environment.
I assure you, having my vocabulary restricted is apparently quite the show of good will. Why, it wasn't only the 't' word, but the 'g' word, the 'u' word, and the 'r' word, too."
[Seta is just standing by while this happens, raising an open palm to cover her own face.]

[Yuuya gives a rather pointed look towards lady Grey with that line.]
I would also ask that you not publicly humiliate members of our team so readily. You're "lapse of memory" and bringing up of certain subjects was specifically to cow your subordinate who is apparently having to escort you in your peculiarities. Perhaps if you chose to spend time with us as she has you wouldn't need someone to fulfill that duty?

[The woman yawns as she waits for you to finish, Yuuya.]
You certainly are a silly one if you believe that a mere two deployments against Kijin makes your group experienced. Well...I could care less.
And 'escort' is precisely the reason Seta is here, which I do not mind. I definitely wouldn't be bothered to work for a group of 'heroes' that believe they are more righteous than any other groups that exist.

What I do find troublesome is your callous and aloof attitude and the way that you treat your subordinate who has proven to be a valuable team member despite your dismissive attitude leaving her skittish and doubt-riddled. So while she may be grateful and you may have taught her to apply several of her skills I don't have to particularly like you even if I'm to be polite. So for both our sakes why don't you try to rachet back your show of apathy and stop browbeating my friend in public to her detriment so I don't have to waste your valuable time with these sorts of discussion.

['Madame' stifles another yawn.]
...On the contrary: your group has not claimed to be the most righteous, but you certainly do believe you are. It is not something that needs to be said; I am sure that is why you are not the first to approach me about how I treat my student.
I have told them the same thing I will tell you now: whether you like me or not does not matter. I do not expect you to fear me either...
At the same time, standing up for what you think is right does not make any of you more entitled to better treatment from me, nor does it mean that I should take your words into consideration.

You are absolutely right in what you say. You are a different type of being and your thoughts and behavior will be different from ours. We don't have to like each other and we don't have to bow to each others rules and opinions. But there does need to be respect if we are to cooperate effectively and Seta has gone a long way in building that in her time with us.
You do not treat her in that manner and you can think me the most self-righteous person in the world for confronting you on that matter but there is something that all Eishi are taught which is why even before I liked half of the personnel in the Unity Group I could work effectively with them.
Even if it's the most important thing to you, you can't protect your life alone.
You may be different in that regard but just as you have your pride; we have ours, and mine lead me to confront you in this. I'll leave you be to enjoy the rest of the show as you see fit assuming you don't bother anyone else. For now I have my own duties to attend.
[He turns away from Lady Grey and speaks to Seta before leaving.]
Thanks for the encouragement earlier, keep an eye on the matches out there and don't let her walk over you like that. You're better than you realize and all you have to do now is show it.

Good grief...finally.
[The older Kijin's expression is not unlike a person who has just heard a load of gibberish. As Yuuya turns away...she gladly waves.]
Bye-bye~
[Seta on the other hand, manages a slight nod.]
I...will do my best.
...Thank you.
