1 - At Legion HQ (mostly for the people who were in the mission and NPCs)

[Well, that sure was something. So turns out one of the Sages of Legion is a) some kind of cyborg, b) bloody crazy, and c) behind the outbreaks of machines going crazy AND the whole Mega Men business. Legion HQ was hit pretty hard, and it's going to take a bit before Legion resumes normal operations.

And while the buzz of activity is going on at ground level, Ashe is sitting on a rooftop's edge, in her Model A shape, tossing her gun up and down and looking unusually thoughtful for her.

Though of course, it won't be long until someone interrupts her train of thought, will it?]

2 - Return to Alhambra



[Some time afterwards, Ashe is back in the base, looking more like herself again, grinning. As she comes in and jumps out of the ship that brought her, she pops a comm while walking]

Well, guys, it seems like I'll be staying for a while. Master Thomas and Master Mikhail hired me to investigate this Albert business, and since you guys keep getting called for big disturbances this is the best place to be if Albert pops his head up.

In the meantime, I'll help you guys out - helping people is what the hero of the story does, after all! Let's get along with each other, okay?

We need to talk. I looked through our database, like I said I would, and I found something important.

Thanks to these metal bodies the three of us were able to live an extremely long time, Ashe. And when Albert became a Sage, he was apparently already working on Model W.

I tried to find some information about you in the database as well... But there is nothing. It's like you never existed.

What do you mean, never existed? I know we don't know who my family was, but I'm right here!

Calm down! I know you're here, I can see you. I don't think you have no past; I think Albert might've deleted the records from the base. You're very important to him; there must've been something in there that he's trying to hide...

Albert thinks I'm... important? [Well, that can't be good]

Which is why we have to ask you to join with the Unity Group. At least for the time being.

[Ashe is very clearly only half-listening, lost in thought about something else]

Thinking about Albert, Ashe? Or your past? This is why we want you to work with Unity Group; to investigate these matters.


Find out what he's up to! I know it can't be anything good, so the sooner you get on Albert's track, the better.

...me? But if it's me he wants, wouldn't that be playing right into Albert's hands? And maybe he knows where I came from. Maybe I shouldn't...

I can't believe I'm hearing this. [Model A pipes up, displeased] What happened to the Ashe I know? What, are you scared?

Scared?! Me!? You better be joking, you little design paperweight!

Now that's more like it! Come on, who cares what Albert knows! You wanted to be a hero, right? What better hero than the one who was willing to give up her past for the greater good? I can see the tales already!

[Ashe hesitates for a second... and breaks out laughing] Hah! You know what? You're right. Though I didn't expect to ever have you cheering me up. Will wonders ever cease?

Hey, what's THAT supposed to mean?

Alright, Master Thomas, you got yourself your Hunter!

We'll arrange payments later, of course. This is going to be a pretty involved and exhausting mission, you know. [Ashe grins shrewdly. Be afraid, Mikhail. Be very afraid.]

Ashe would find that she's not alone after a moment as someone's been watching her ships arrival andother young woman whose also seem to got a love for headbands her self falls in step with her and she tilts her head a little bit at her.

"Hero o the story? Humm odd way to look at it, still you should be careful thinking it's fiction it might not end well for you. Either way welcome aboard. I'm Raquel Manora and you are?"

The Green haired woman offers Ashe her hand as well.

Who said anything about fiction? I intend to go down in history, the real one. People will remember the name Ashe! [Ashe grins, taking the hand and shaking it decisively]

Raquel pauses for a moment tilts her head a little bit at Ashe.

"Al I think I get it, aiming big rather than ... something else. Good to meet you Ashe and it sounds like I missed quite the bit of action while I was away."

She'a also pausing to look at what might be headphones over ashe's ears with some bit of interest. She doesn't ask anything on those yet.

[What headphones? All Ashe has on her head is a bandana!]

Action and something else. This was weird. And as a Ruin Hunter, believe me, I have a doctorate in weird!

"Ruin hunter? That actually sounds like it be a good deal of fun. I admit you have me curious now."

It is pretty fun. And the pay is pretty good, too, which is important! We go around investigating old ruins, ancient wrecks, chasing down illegal smugglers, stuff like that.

[fire_dancer]

"This sounds like a job I'd enjoy though it would give proper archeologists brain hemorrhage but better it get found than rot, or get dropped on to the black market, right?"

Raquel seems to be taking a liking to Ashe and isn't tying to hide it.

"I would seriously be up for some of that if you'd be down for it. We don't have that may ruins here. Things tend to get picked over, or rebuilt pretty darn quick and what isn't is because it's been burred by the environment before someone got to it normally."

Yeah. I mean, what is even going on? And what exactly is Albert planning?

I really don't want what happened here to happen again, you know. And maybe that means I have to play Albert's stupid "game", whatever that is, until I can find out.

I don't think anybody except him wants a repeat.

I have no idea how he's planning on reaching his goals, though. And his methods seem rather convoluted.

Maybe the guy's just plain crazy?

Him being just insane would definitely explain some things, yeah, Model A... but I dunno. He was able to fool the other Sages for years. So he's smart AND crazy, which is just going to be trouble.

It is...As if there weren't enough problems already. Do none of these people notice all the aliens and demons?

Beats me. I really don't know how crazy murderous weirdoes think, and I'm pretty happy to keep it that way.

I know...I just wish people would stop fighting each other and focus on making sure there's anything left to fight over.

I'm so happy you're staying around, Ashe! I mean, the circumstances could've been a lot better... but still!

Yeah, that really wasn't our best showing, was it? But at least now we know who the bad guy is. So we'll be more ready next time, bet on it!

I thought Prometheus was the bad guy. Do we really need more than one?

Well, no helping it now. You think they're teaming up?

I think Albert must be Prometheus's boss, so he's the true bad guy.

Though Prometheus didn't exactly give off the loyal minion vibe...

[herodrawing]

It's quite complicated, huh.

In some stories I know, the bad guys are so disloyal towards one another that they start infighting. That'd save us some trouble, don't you think?

[booty_chaser]

Boy, that definitely would be pretty great. But somehow I don't think we'll be so lucky!

"Well, we certainly area hotspot for these kinds of incidents. But you realize that those other mobile suits are far from the largest things we deal with. Physically speaking, not necessarily importance."

But Banjou holds his hand out to her. "Banjou Haran, one of the Unity Group's benefactors."

[She takes the hand without hesitation, grinning] Ashe, but you know me already. You were the guy in the garage sale mobile suit, right? [Ouch, poor Genoaces]

And don't worry about the size. The bigger they are, the harder they are to miss!

"Certainly true, but just much the easier they are to crush you all at once, do to take caution when you fight your first Megaborg."

Don't you worry about me. I'm pretty hard to kill, and even more so now! A robot trying to step on me is going to find itself with a big problem going up its leg!

"Let's hope that's the case, but don't get over confident... I'm not going to have anyone from this group killed or converted by them."

His tone got super serious just then.

Relax, old man. I have a lot of things to do before I can call curtain on my story - a little thing like a giant destroyer monster isn't going to be the thing that makes me call quits.

...you're only a year older than me?! Really?!

Uh, wow. Has he considered worrying less and a healthier lifestyle? He looks like he's, like, thirty.

"Yes, really? Do I really look that old?" That's never come up before but perhaps it's why such a variety of women have been drawn to him before.

And his lifestyle is plenty healthy, given his situation!
