That was the first time I have seen Aerogaters use humanoid machines. Curious... And it still leaves as many questions about their nature as before, if not more. Fortunately, thanks to the Knights' help and early evacuation, the number of casualties was minimized, possibly even completely reduced to nothing.

All circumstances considered, that was a good battle.

It is time for me to reaveal the Pro-Earthling Party's plan. Listen well.

Many members of the High Council are still undecided about whether our races should fight, or cooperate. During the Grand Vote, the fate of the whole Gebian species shall be decided. At that time, we must be absolutely certain that the majority of the council members will support the Pro-Earthling Party. And we shall earn their support by showing them the amazing advances of Earth's civilizations!

Our Minister of Health, Acenith, will pay a visit to Earth in around 2 weeks. She is obsessed with sports - not professional ones, but amateur sports, as a way to spread healthy living and spirit of competition and cooperation among the people. To show her that the spirit of sportsmanship is strong within Earthlings, we shall organize games for her to watch. And I ask you to be the participants.

Skills do not matter - it is not about ability, but healthy enthusiasm! The Ministry of Health is influential - show your spirit to Acenith, and many other council members, not just her, will support cooperation! Take your time to prepare, and think what disciplines you would like to perform. I shall not force anyone to participate; but the bigger the games are, the better our chances of success.

General, I have an idea. We really should show the breadth of earth's sport to the council members.

Indeed, the more disciplines we show them, the better. What is your idea?

Everyone's gonna show boring, usual stuffs, with balls, or tracks. We should show them some more unusual sports of earth, to show how diverse our sport tradition is.

Have you ever heard of cheese rolling? Or oh! What about Kabaddi?

And I do not know if Volya really is the person who will do horrible things. There is too much to consider...

With a good enough system and knowledge, it is possible to create a vaguely accurate prediction of a specific event. Military analysts do it all the time. A true prophecy, however, is impossible. Not unless you believe the future is already predetermined.

If Volya being the catalyst of destruction is based on existing data, then I would like to see that data.

Indeed! We roll cheese on a slope, and people chase it! It's unheard everywhere else in the galaxy, right? That will show your people how diverse and creative earth's sports are!

Sometimes you have no choice but do what you would rather not to, in order to avoid something even worse. This is the reality of the life we chose.

Good ol American Gridiron! Not only is it a game of strength, but also a game of strategy!

I do not think I ever heard about it. Would you elaborate?

Gladly. It's a sport where two teams line up against one another. The objective is to maintain control of an oblong ball and reach the other team's goal. ONe team attempts to pass the ball to another member and have it run to one end, while the other team's objective is to keep them from progressing too far.

It's much like a war, where the team in possession of the ball is the army with the attacking advantage, and the other team must defend their turf and repel the enemy. Should, after four attempts, the attacking team fail to cover a certain amount of distance, the ball is exchanged hands, and the defending team becomes the attacking.


I suppose that's the most brief, interesting explanation I can give of it. Americans call it football, but worldwide, there's a sport they call 'soccer' that many other countries already call foot-ball.

Ahh, sorry. It probably gets confusing there. What Americans call soccer, the rest of the world calls 'Football'. While American 'Football' the rest of the world usually refers to 'Gridiron' or have a slight derivative called 'Rugby'

Ah, linguistics. Such a convoluted mess, creating often the most confusing results. There is a strange beauty to it, in a way.

Anyway. If you can gather enough players, then it sounds like a very interesting idea.

What are popular sports in your planet? We could either find some things that's similar to them, or something that are completely different! Those will attract interest for sure!

The most popular sports discipline, although one I have no interest in, is rollball.

It is about two teams rolling a large ball around.
