Okay! Energon Pump is installed, and the recalibration for the power feed should be alright...

[Wheeljack has decided to.... experiment. Specifically in the testing of adapting Energon for usage in Earth Based Machines to amplify their combat capability. Admittedly only a small amount was used for the test but it was regarded as enough. A trio of modified mooks (Genoace, Bushnell and a Destroid Tomahawk stand proudly for usage - admittedly with far more cabling across their bodies than they should normally have.]

... Ratchet, is all that really necessary?



Yes. Yes it is Wheeljack. We all know how your experiments go, better safe than sorry - especially since we have humans getting involved.

[Ratchet is standing close by with an emergency team on standby, looking nonplussed. Wheeljack looked rather sheepish despite a lack of visible facial expression.]



You never know though, this might be the next big breakthrough!

[Wheeljack sounded pretty pumped for the test runs.]

I even got Rewind over here to record everything for posterity.



[The Cassette-bot waved at Ratchet and let out a burst of odd, distinctly mechanical noise... was that their language? Either way, Ratchet sighs.]

Lets go with a basic systems test! After some of the Genoace Results I think I've managed to dial down any possible problems that may come from overperformance.



Operative word here being 'think'. Go as lightly on the controls as you can.

[Wheeljack claps enthusiastically.]

[Virgola takes a firing stance, as if its extinguisher was the Gunnery Carver. It looks silly.]

[Regarding the results of the Genoace tests Yuuya turns to look at Wheeljack.]

Wheeljack, I want you to make me a promise. That you will never get involved with TSF development. I appreciate the sentiment but if the TSF's output ever had what happened with Genoace happen to them, I'd probably wind up across a kilometer or more of rubble and scrap.

Good. Considering what stress is already put on the human body using them and the amount of special equipment and training needed, the energon infusion would more or less liquify a human being.

And that isn't an exaggeration. I already ran through the variables.

[Hearing Ratchet's evaluation on what would happen Yuuya's face blanches and he seems mildly shaken.]

Yeah, thanks for the consideration there Ratchet but next time a little less graphic would be nice while I'm standing here. I've seen some pretty graphic stuff in the conditioning for anti-BETA operations so I can pretty much imagine that and it's not the prettiest picture.

This is a Destroid. Do you know how slow those things are? I don't think I'll crash into a wall no matter how much you overclocked it...

[After making sure all systems are green, Asagi starts running around in circles.]

[Yuuya, Ratchet just makes a tremendously stern face. Like the strict disciplinarian teacher who simultaneously bit into a lemon while hearing a misbehaving student make an off color remark. His tone was as level as can be but the bite in it was unmistakeable.]

Graphic is when you have to explain to a patient that their own systems are corroding into a liquid mess and slowly seeping out of their bodies when they can 'taste' their processors in the back of their mouths as their chassis starts to follow after.

Trust me when I say this Lieutenant. What I said was perhaps the most mercifully to the point description I have ever made without having to go into too many details.

[Well admittedly it isn't that slow anymore Asagi. Hell, its moving at a pace that Mobile Suits would call average. You seem to be getting some alarms from the joints though.]



Asagi, I'm picking up some stress readings from the legs on that thing. They're holding together good so far but they look like they're going to snap themselves to pieces with a little more pressure.

Looks like they just can't keep up with you and the Energon.

Well most people don't know enough about what's in a human body to be able to imagine what liquifying one would look like. Combat recordings against the BETA kinda broke that little mental barrier for me. It's not pretty when you watch 4 tank class BETA fight over a single body, I think it was someones idea of a sick joke for the cafeteria to serve chili that day...

[Yuuya shudders at the recollections]

I'm expecting a lot of good results here, if everything goes well we can start trying this out on the more complicated machinery - like those Valkyries!



As someone who's seen my fair share of Wheeljack's experimentation, I'm expecting chaos, systems failures, collapses, crashes, mechanical damage... essentially another day in the lab with him.

Could I?! I could draw up all sorts of ideas! Better propulsion systems, more weaponry, better armor! The works!

[Wheeljack sounds ludicrously excited, Ratchet on the other hand looks annoyed and alarmed at the same time.]

Ooh, it could always do with more missiles. But you're doing something more exotic here, aren't you? Something with alien tech?

They should manage a slower pace at least? Or else I can't see how we can use this in combat, except as a turret...

Let's try attacking!

[As Asagi slows down, he approaches a target (read: a large empty crate) which he slams out of the way with an arm cannon. And then he opens fire at another target further away! What could go wrong?]

[Well Asagi...the arm cannon you struck the crate in question with swung so hard it nearly tore off after pulverizing its target - more joint errors. Then it actually flew off due to the recoil from firing its now overcharged beam cannon. The other target and the targets around it were destroyed. And possibly a few unessential things behind said targets.]



More joint faults... these things were definitely made to stick to places like glue. But putting some computer controlled limitations should do the trick if we can't take the time to strengthen them!

The weapons systems look good! Just some minor warping in the barrel and a few systems issues that are easing out, it just might be able to take three or four more shots!

Alien fuel actually. We're testing its effects on Earth Tech and the results are really promising!



Somehow I doubt that overperformance to the point of uncontrollability and weapons that break from a few shots - even if they are powerful can be regarded as promising. Just a feeling I have.

Good? A weapon that can only fire a few times before it's completely destroyed is not good! Those things have only two cannons, you know.

...Do I want to know what will the missiles do?

[Ratchet can only facepalm at all of this.]

Yeah, I think we're done. Call me again when you apply this to other machines. Sturdy ones, that won't fall apart just from running when you overclock them.

[Asagi opens the cockpit... But the arm, which he'd use to climb down to the ground floor, is no longer there.]
