It's a Valentine's Day Miracle?
Heroes...
Heroes and then their enemies. Dark Lords, evil guilds, cults... They all come in different shapes and sizes, don't they?
[The talk about the Lady and her stories, and Unification as well has stirred a sense of nostalgia in Mizuki. An array of children and YA book, the type she and Sara read as a child are spread all over a table. Her own favorites had been the less serious ones wherein the hero and the Demon Lord would somehow end up as companions, be it romantic or otherwise. Sometimes there were misunderstandings, sometimes greater threats, and sometimes both of them still had a lot of growing up to do. And in one case...]
Even ones when the author doesn't realize the hero's worse than any of the villains.
[But then-]
I'll say, but Mizuki, quickly! Make room!

Mizuki, please! Oh we were hoping to show you and you even have a table set up but then you had to just cover it up with so many books!
[So says her mother, coming in with a humongous wheelbarrow stuffed with "how to" books and DVDs and audio players about parenting and families in general.]
We got here as soon as we can... and the news... it's just so wonderful! Everyone in Solaris is overjoyed!
News? News about what?

I'm pregnant.
She's pregnant! This is huge, this is incredible! We didn't think it would be possibly on account of everything and our origin... and also living on Earth. But it's happening! It's actually happening!
... what...?
We'll finally be able to be proper parents! Raising a child from the very beginning, teaching them to walk, teaching them how to read and write, playing Tooth Fairy for them and schooling... oh there was so much we saw while trying to learn how to raise you that we just weren't able to do because you were too old for it!
And you need to sure you'll be a good big sister to little Zankuro too!

Zankuro, dear. He's going to be your little brother; Solaris's doctors were able to confirm that it's going to be a boy! Oh just think of it! We'll have him trying to sneak out after curfew to visit friends and getting in fights and having little childhood crushes! And he'll probably even have a phase where he doesn't want to be seen getting dropped off by us when he's in middle school!

Please don't think we're going to forget about you because of Zankuro! It's just... we've never had to do anything like this before!

You don't have to put on a strong face, Mizuki! We didn't realize how that must've just all sounded, and you'll always be our daughter! So please, just be understanding in these first months when he's born!

[Her parents just try to hold back the tears, hugging Mizuki as tight as they can as if yeah, she is that petty.]

[Volya by all means wasn't exactly one hundred percent better but the commotion he caught on the way to see Mizuki definitely got his attention.]
I guess with how much of a big sister you are to a lot of people it'll probably be really easy for you Mizuki- ow...
[It wasn't because of the fact that he was still hurting a bit... but more that Interitus bapped him lightly on the head. Despite being on a wheelchair she looked a lot better now. In fact the only thing things that looked off about her were a few band aids plastered on her.]
"Volya not let Mizuki do all work. Promise Mizuki help take care of brother, we need help too!"

Mizuki's just making this face at her parents. Just all this face.
Oh we couldn't... Zankuro's our responsiblity... and it's one thing to help prepare Mizuki for having a brother, but we couldn't force that kind of responsibility on her friends!
But dear... you're forgetting all those cases where family friends are always dropping by to visit, to the point they're even part of the family and the opening credits!
[Credits?]
And Volya and Interitus's own unique relationship and friendship might just help Zankuro see that he's not the only person different out there, but still treated like an equal to everyone else!
And Volya's making this face at Derpteritus.
"Ooh! Ooh! Like tv show? Volya! Really need make promise! Pleeeeease?"
[Much eyerolling on her partner's end before he gives a small smile.]
Well... I know how much it stinks to feel alone because they're different... there's no way I'm letting anyone related to Mizuki feel like that.

[And Interitus throws her hands into the air with a cheer, jumping off the wheelchair excitedly. Said wheelchair also kind of flipped and landed upside down behind her causing the plant girl to look a bit embarrassed.]

And I was just thinking that if sunlight is bad like that, won't it be dangerous to keep him anywhere near it? What if he tries testing some grass by eating it.

We'll have to definitely watch out for that. But if we're lucky... he may be more resistant.
Resistant? How?
Because unlike us, he's being born in a world of Sunlight. Speaking as someone meant to be your chief adviser, Mizuki, even if we still can't eat normal foods, we've all been exposed to sunlight and lived in this world for more than a decade. And SolSavior was able to do what we would've thought impossible in Solaris's early days; unify Sol and Void energy and achieve harmony.
We at least have hope, or at least I hope we do.
[Zangango cracks a smile and nudges Mizuki's elbow... probably fearing he was sounding too profound there.]
