[Star Rose is bright and noisy, especially in the tourist-centric parts of the space station. Setsuko does not like large crowds, but today she finds their presence comforting. It is a reminder what is she fighting for. Lives who are allowed to have a normal daily existence. Well, there's also one more reason why she's there.]


Ahh! It's so good~!

[Que the Glory Star enjoying a huge girly parfait, sitting near the giant space squid aquarium for an extra impressive view.]

[Unfortunately for Skald, his epic struggle is interrupted by a robotic cleaner that suddenly floats in, picks him up and moves away, like a giant crane game. A crane game that just captured a cat, soon to be dropped out of the basin, soaking wet.]

How did he get in there, anyway...?

[To hear Skald tell it, the tale would no doubt have been full of high adventure and battle and aee inspiring moments of daring. Honestly and plainly though, to quote Asagi - 'A cat can get anywhere if it wants to'. Such as at this very moment the thoroughly drenched feline walks purposefully to Setsuko with a towel laid across his back.]

....

[He calmly leaps up to sit opposite to the Glory Star, dropping the plastic knife next to him before looking up at the human.]

Meow.

[Once more he must maintain the charade of being a normal cat. Except he kind of messed it up from the get go.]

Is that all you're going to say? That water tank is gigantic! You could totally drown in there...

[Setsuko falls silent, hoping others won't treat her like a crazy cat lady for talking to Skald and expecting him to talk back.]

Meow.

[Skald isn't even trying to make it sound like he's actually meowing. He simply lets out a scoff and tries to puff up proudly. Its not very effective with how soggy he is. Then as he opens his mouth to let out another unconvincing meow he notices the delicious looking parfait.]

... I want one.

[He pauses, quickly looking around before letting out another 'meow' for good measure.]

What? No, no you can't have it.

This kind of food is for humans, not cats!

Well I am obviously no ordinary cat!

[He pauses a moment to regard anyone who may have been looking their way.]

Disregard that. I am a completely ordinary cat. Meow.

[He raises a paw for good measure and wipes a tuft of soggy fur on his face before glaring at Setsuko once more.]

But I digress... as fellow warriors and equals wouldn't I have the same priveledges as you do? Including access to 'human food'?

It's not lack of priviledge or anything like that. Human sweets are not good for cats!

At least, not in big portions like this one.

But I do not even smell any of that poisonous trash you call chocolate from it! Surely it is fine!

...Meow.

It's not just chocolate, if you eat that much of a parfait you'll get sick.

Umm...

[Setsuko stares at her own treat. She considers sharing with Skald. Her brain has a different opinion about this though. "My parfait, no sharing, all mine"]

Then surely they have a helping more suitable to my stature if you are so fearful of my mighty form being poisoned!

Do they? Umm...

[Setsuko looks around. Sharing sweets with a cat is one thing, but doing so when they slowly become a center of attention...

Apparently the news of a squid-hunting cat have spread quickly.]

Maybe we should go.

But you have yet to finish your food. It would be a waste if you simply left it now.

[Skald is confused by Setsuko's sudden change in priorities. He then looks around.]

... Meow.

Umm...

[So much conflicting priorities... Setsuko can't take it anymore. She gives up.]

Excuse me! Could I get a little saucer, or something like that?

[She calls for the cafe's staff, and puts a scoop of parfait on it when she finally receives one.]

Here...

[Look what you had her do.]
