Gladly. It's a sport where two teams line up against one another. The objective is to maintain control of an oblong ball and reach the other team's goal. ONe team attempts to pass the ball to another member and have it run to one end, while the other team's objective is to keep them from progressing too far.

It's much like a war, where the team in possession of the ball is the army with the attacking advantage, and the other team must defend their turf and repel the enemy. Should, after four attempts, the attacking team fail to cover a certain amount of distance, the ball is exchanged hands, and the defending team becomes the attacking.


I suppose that's the most brief, interesting explanation I can give of it. Americans call it football, but worldwide, there's a sport they call 'soccer' that many other countries already call foot-ball.
