People of Project Unification. We have fought, and worked, and struggled together, for years. But now, the organization is no longer needed. And I, myself, am needed elsewhere. It is time to go.

Oh, you did not really think I am going to leave Earth and return to Geb, did you? Do not forget, I still officially hold the title of ambassador. I am simply relocating to an embassy constructed by ESUN in Brussels for this very purpose. Doing actual diplomatic work will not be very exciting for an old warrior such as I, but I have no doubts crisis situations will still emerge from time to time; and when they do, my Scaraber shall be there. In the meantime, feel free to pay a visit whenever you want. The building should be hard to miss even from afar; it is the one shaped like a pyramid.

If you feel like reflecting for a moment, compare the state of the known universe three years ago, and now. Back then, it was a hostile, unfriendly place, where all the races - Earthlings, Gebians, Balmarians, Wulgaru, Zentraedi, Vagans, and more - were at war with each other. These days, they are all connected through bonds of peace. And you helped forge these bonds; never forget that.

The time for the dance of death is over. Now, each of us will dance our own, personal, dance of our life. Take care. It has been a pleasure.
[Hetepheres' entourage - the various normal Gebians - gathers around and starts waving goodbye with their insectoid arms. Some of them are wearing giant foam hands to help with that.]

[This totally happened during Christmas time. Ignore the date.]

[A small Gebian spaceship, similar in shape to a gilded ancient-era vessel like all of them, arrives at Alhambra. The ship's door opens, and out comes a procession of at least dozen Gebians, most of them carrying musical instruments - very few of them look similar to anything commonly used on Earth, but all of them play music. Very loud music. Also, all of them are singing in Gebian, a choir of chittering, insectoid voices. The melody is a little bit cacophonic, but it might sound somewhat familiar to some people, even if they won't likely won't be able to put their finger on why. There's some holiday elements to it, though maybe because some of the instruments being played include bells.]

[The one leading the parade and directing it with her staff is Hetepheres. She somehow manages to stay calm and dignified despite the mayhem.]

The royal orchestra of Geb has arrived. Together with volunteers they have come to give their thanks, by playing their own arrangement of a local Earth song for all to hear. It is this time of year now. Enjoy, celebrate, and be merry.
1. [An announcement, but one you can respond to through normal channels.]
The struggle is no more. The results of the Grand Vote are established, and all of Geb is united now in its support of ESUN, and Earth as a whole. The Anti Earthling Party is no more; I doubt the sentiments some of its members held will disappear overnight, but they are powerless to act on them. Only the worst scoundrel would go against the decision of the high council.

General Khaldun has returned to Geb, to command its defense force. Should he have any forces to spare, he will send them to Earth, to support your endeavours. For now, the only Gebian warrior remaining on the planet will be me, as before. Expect to see more visitors soon, however; scientists, engineers, traders, and just ordinary people seeking to see Earth with their own eyes. Talks about the exchange of goods and technologies are already underway; our people shall prosper together.

Never forget that all of this was possible because of you! You helped fight the invasions of AEP, and persuade undecided members of the council to support the PEP. High Commander Teremun caused much death to fuel his ridiculous ambition, and he would cause much more if he was not stopped. For your support, you have my thanks.

2. [Later, in her office, Hetepheres is looking at a photo. It looks fairly old, but it's hard to see what's on it without approaching her. And before any onlookers have a chance to do that, she suddenly throws it into the air, and, while it's floating down, fires a laser blast at it with her stuff! The photo is reduced to ashes. The general sits down on her chair, heavily.]

...It is finally over.

There is not much time left before the Grand Vote. Soon, the course the whole Gebian race will take will be decided. The PEP is almost certain of this victory. But we want to make this probability a hundred percent.

ESUN is working on an exhibition, of art, science and culture, both high and low. Several members of the High Council will come to see this exhibition. Some of them have lent their support for the Pro-Earthling Party already, others are hesitating.

What I ask of you are ideas. If you can think of something that should be a part of the exhibition, let me know. It does not have to be high art, it does not have to be a glorious invention - if you think it showcases the civilization of Earth in any way, then it belongs.

You had to put up with a lot during the previous visits. But now, you have a chance to show why you think Earth is great, in your own way. If you want to pursue this chance, tell me your idea. Let us forge peace together.

A few weeks after the destruction of the Ladies' Good Men, and a week after the final fight with the Kijin, Dido tightens her grip on the controls, eyes narrowed, teeth bared.

"I can't give up now!" She declares. "I won't despair! If I stand by justice, and keep moving forward, a way will open up! I know it will–Aw Fudge! Fudge! C'mon! Fudge! That combo's broken! This boss is OP! Cheap! Hax!"

On the arcade game's screen, Dido's Qipao-wearing character twitches helplessly in the throes of hit-stun, then flies back across the stage. "K.O.!". The boss character, clad in a sharp business suit and fish-crested gladiator helmet, folds his arms and laughs."Pathetic! You're ten years too early to beat me!".

Dido's bloodshot eyes twitch. "I'll wipe that grin off your face!" She shouts, fishing quarters from her pocket.

For god's sake, someone drag her away!

[Private Chat, locked to Mizuki]

"Yo, 'Zuki!" Dido pops up on your tablet screen, shadows under her eyes, a grease stain on her chin. "Could I ask you for a favor?"

[Private chat, sent to Ken, Hetepheres, Sarah and Peola]

Dido pops up on your tablet screens, looking chipper and extremely energized. "I challenge you to hand-to-hand mecha combat!"

[In the outdoor part of Alhambra, Hetepheres stands at the feet of Scaraber, both of them turned towards the setting sun. A small breeze is blowing.]

Ingram Plisken... the real one, not Calico McCready. Despite his role as a Balmarian clone agent, he rebelled against his purposed destiny, and together with Captain Symphonia worked together in the shadows, to help us fight against the Balmarian threat. And nobody suspected a thing; not after all of them have died.

I will not forget their sacrifice. Nor the sight of the Balmarian fleet, and how huge it was. It is not long before we have to clash against this power again.

[A Gebian engineer walks over to give her a datapad. She examines it.]

A full report on the capabilities of Crab Frame? Thank you. This will be very useful in dealing with future threats. Last battle has already proven that. Let me know when there is information on the technologies the Good Men used, as well.

...An embalmed corpse was discovered in the tomb, belonging to a Gebian of a rare tribe? It must be the Deceased One. Make sure his remains are not disturbed. We owe a lot to him.
[Hetepheres looks at images, and a news article, regarding a recent discovery in Egypt. An ancient, mysterious building, still half-buried in the sand, with a large gate that nobody was able to penetrate yet, made from a combination of stone and metal alloys thought to be unknown at that time.]

...I know what this is.

One of the members of the ancient Gebian expedition to Earth was a legendary warrior, a member of a rare tribe, whose name was lost to ages. He is only known as the Deceased One now, for he died during the expedition, protecting his comrades from a monster. This building is a tomb, and a vault, hiding his remains and his weapons, crafted with methods that are unknown today. But their power is well-documented in many tales; while crude by the standards of today, if enhanced by modern Gebian technology, they could become an extremely formidable tool on the battlefield.

Such vaults usually remain closed, and open only during a specific time of the year. This time approaches quickly... And I am sure it is only a matter of time before the AEP hears about this tomb as well. They will try to secure it. I will not let that happen.
[Dated after "The Prioress"]

"Whoah, whoah! Chill out, dudes! I get it: hands off!"

While walking through the hanger, you look up to see Dido getting frog-marched out of a high security bay area that currently holds the Saber units, two security guards on each side gripping her shoulders and forearms. They roughly release her and walk off.

Dido stumbles, sets down the oil-can she was carrying, and dusts herself off. "Dammit. Why can't people take an honest bribe these days?"

Ask her what's going on?

After maintenance hours, when everyone's gone home for the night, you stumble across Dido lying on her back atop a set of boxes, taking puffs from...something burning inside a roll of paper.

She sighs, and then sits up, starring at the ground. "Dammit..." You hear her mutter. "This is what happens when you try and act like Mom..."

She spies you coming and hastily flicks the burning roll paper behind her. "Ah...Hey! Fancy seeing you here! How, uh, are you?""
[Hetepheres is standing on the outskirts of Birmingham, looking at the ruined parts of the city. Her staff in her hand, she's singing a song - it's hard to say what is this about, because it's in Gebian and sounds very strange, but it's slow and solemn. And long... But eventually it ends. And she addresses whoever was listening, without turning to them.]

I do not suppose it is a good time to mention Minister Pentu was very happy and agreed to support the PEP, is it?
[Over the last few days, people who engage in various holiday-related activities might notice that they are being watched by a Gebian. He looks exactly the same as most of his kin, but he seems to react in a somewhat abashed manner when you spot him. And...]

Hello, I am Pentu. Do not mind me; I am here merely to research Earth holidays such as Christmas, Hannukah and Kwanzaa. Would you mind answering a few questions?

[He talks! The voice is kinda insectoid and awkward, like how a cute bug would talk on a kid's cartoon, but still. What exactly were you doing that grabbed his interest? Maybe you knew in advance about him and it's a planned endeavour, even.]
I have an announcement to make. Pentu, the Gebian minister of science, will be paying us a visit in a week. He is greatly interested in the customs of Earth cultures, and the days they celebrate. I am sure you can figure out the reason for his visit already; he would like to learn about Christmas.

The visit is only semi-official, and there is no reason to throw him a welcoming celebration; Pentu is merely here to observe and learn. However, if you have any ideas what to do to impress him, I would be interested in hearing them. The ministry of science is a powerful faction within the High Council; its approval might not only mean more votes for us, but also earlier access to exchange of technologies between our civilizations.

[A few seconds of pause. Is it hesitation?]

...After the latest battle with the AEP, the current leanings of the Council are in their favour. But this could help us tip the scales.

[After the return from the attack on Shadow Mirrors, Scaraber is severely damaged - a result of the fight with Teremun. It's located in Sakihama's hangar for the time being, the one closest to the operation area. Hetepheres watches as several of her beetle-like technicians ascertain the damage, one of them holding his (her?) head and shaking it.]

We have recovered Lamia Loveless, and the enemy base was destroyed, as planned. The mission, technically, went better than expected...

[Despite her words, something is not right. Hetepheres, who usually keeps her face stone cold, is seething with barely constrained anger right now.]

High Commander Teremun... You really should have killed me. You will regret your decision.

[The following was said in real time in Alhambra's main auditorium, but it's also a network message.]

People of Unity Group. Recently, we have suffered some setbacks, and casualties appeared among our ranks. This is not the first time this happened since the forming of the organization, nor is it likely the last. This is why I would like to tell you something; not as a general, not as an ambassador. As a fellow soldier.

From all military organizations I have seen, enemy and ally alike, Unity Group is the most successful. Successful operations, prevention of friendly casualties, protecting civilians from harm - in all of those aspects, the Group has no peer. You do not win always, but an organization that always wins is not realistically possible - and after every failure, you stand up and earn ten more victories.

[Loudly, Hetepheres hits the floor with the end of her staff.]
Never forget the names and faces of our fallen friends! They have sacrificed their lives fighting for the most noble of goals! Let your good memories of time spent with them drive you forward. For every fallen comrade, a hundred enemies will fall before us! For every person we failed to protect, we shall protect ten thousand more! The title of a hero is not something you can give yourself, it has to be given to you by others. Unity Group, show the world that you deserve that title!

[A longer pause, full of noise from the audience of various UG personnel. Maybe even a pilot or a few?]

That is all. If anyone wanted to discuss something, anything, I can be found in my office. Do not hesitate to come if you have any issue you need to talk about.
[Post Workshop in Flames]

Those of you who like to walk the halls of Saikhama Base might hear the faint sound of 20th century (old calendar) power ballads in the distance.

Follow this enticing music, and you come across Dido Sybil, putting in her daily training regimen with the Gebians.

A flurry of baseballs get hurled at her from all directions, thrown by the arms and mandibles of beetle people. Competently, if not gracefully, she sidesteps out of their way and slaps the ones she misses out of the air, jaws set and eyes focused.

Talk to her? Or, since she's distracted, prank her?

[Locked to Dido's Scary Super-Soldier Training Instructors]

You get a message on your comm channels from Dido.

"Could I start training in Zero-G maneuvering?" She asks.

[Locked to Ken and Mizuki]

Dido meets you guys in the cafeteria. "Say...could we talk a moment?" She asks.

1. The battle against the Decepticons and the AEP, which doubled as the field test of Bitles, was a full success. Everybody, well done.

With the death of general Onuris, the AEP command has been thrown into disarray, and it will take a longer time until another of their leaders launches an attack. His bigotous pride lad many Gebians to their death, with himself at the end. He got what he deserved.

Three AEP generals remain: Khaldun, Sagira, and Nekhbet. And, of course, high commander Teremun above all of them...

[Hetepheres trails off during that last part. Some people might know why that is.]

2. [The Gebians are celebrating their victory by watching a movie! The ordinary ones are sitting on several sofas and chairs, passing bowls of popcorn (with weird condiments added) around and chirping to each other. Hetepheres herself is sitting on a throne-like chair, almost unmoving. She has her own popcorn bowl.

The movie itself, playing on a large screen, might be very familiar to some people.]

I presume it is not normal for Earthlings to hold a grill party in the middle of a war zone, is it?

abugslife: (oh? how amusing)

([personal profile] abugslife Sep. 21st, 2014 03:30 pm)
[Fort Alhambra, the hangar. For some time, Hetepheres' engineering team was working on a project - and it's near its culmination now, as the final testing is going on. The testing consists of Heph standing in between several strange-looking scanners, all of which are connected with cables to Scaraber's currently open cockpit. Several raw-looking, obviously still in construction drones, each larger than a person, are flying around in the air, often accompanied by commanding gestures from the Gebian general.]

Hmm. Phantom limb control could use some precision adjustment... But most of the system is working excellently. The data obtained from the Fort Severn battle turned out to be the breakthrough we needed. How much time will you need until the battle version is complete?

[A Gebian aide nearby chirps something in response. Two other Gebians are sitting on two of the drones zooming around. They seem to be having fun.]
[An old face joined the team today: Sarah, the blonde kung-fu superhero woman who's been trying to murder Volya. And she immediately makes her way to a bar, where she proceeds to fix herself some cocktails.]

...This is gonna make the next custody swap real awkward...

[News spread quickly in Unity Group. General Mukantagara, the leader of the Gebian attack force that caused so much damage to Sparta, turned out to be Hetepheres' daughter. Nobody knew... Up until the end, when Hetepheres killed her.]

[After the fight, the Gebian general can be found in her office, sitting behind the desk - the room is mostly dark, the light is not even on. Her terminal is, but she's not really looking at it - just staring somewhere with a distant gaze. Until someone enters or contacts her, at least.]

So many people have died recently. So many people have gotten horribly hurt. And they've all left behind the wreckage of their mechs like grave markers. Fort Alhambra is swarming with technicians and engineers of every stripe and color, some working overtime, others hastily summoned back from vacation or from other UG branches.

Dido's in the thick of things, a welding rig slung over her back as she orders tech about.

"I need ScarleTiger's arm hoisted on the gantry and ready to be reattached, stat! You, you, and you: start putting Pale Rider back together. Yeah, I know you've done it before, that's why I'm trusting you with it! The rest of you, put Virgola Unit 3 and Gipsy Danger into storage–we'll deal with them after crunch-time's over!"

She turns to face you, and her bossy expression fades to fatigue. "Hey. Did you need anything?"

[Locked to Mizuki, as well as Ken potentially]

After a long day's work, Dido's kicking back with you, holding a cool bottle of beer to her over-heated head. The refurbished Sol Machines loom overheard in their gantries. DuskBird, ScarleTiger, ShelLancer. She stares up at them for a time, then turns to you and asks.

"Could you tell me about SolBalmung?"

A comn transmission is posted on the Network, addressed to every Unity Group Pilot who's built a reputation as a stone-cold badass.

"Hi." Dido says simply, scratching her head. "I need to become a better mecha pilot. Could you train me?"

In the wake of the attack by the dimension conquering Indalph, Dido Sybil, previously an unassuming Solaris technician chief, piloted the ShelLancer machine so that Mizuki and Ken could form the combining mecha known as Sol-Savior.

A few days after the attack, Dido is walking through the hanger bay in orange mechanics overalls, carrying a roll of artificial muscle fiber looped around her shoulder.

She stops for a moment, and stares up for a time at the machine she rode in, scorched and dented here and there by the fury of combat.

Goosebumps stand out on her exposed arms. Her throat works, and she clamps a hand desperately over her mouth with a moan.

"Nope." She says. "No Way. No No No No..."

She turns around, on the verge of panic, and starts speed-walking away, breathing rapidly.

Help her calm down?
abugslife: (hey you can see her horns for once)
([personal profile] abugslife Jul. 15th, 2014 05:07 pm)
The Indalph... Something tells me we have not seen the last of them. One can only wonder what the future holds.

Not all news are so uncertain, however. The results of the games we held have surfaced; the Gebian High Council support for the Pro-Earthling Party raised from twelve to nineteen percent, and for the Anti-Earthling Party fell from fourty to thirty eight percent. Some of my people started to show interest in Earth's sports, as well - most notably cheese rolling, and what they presume lacrosse is about.

The numbers might not look favorable, but it is but the first endeavour out of many. A peaceful solution became a much closer reality, and it is all thanks to your efforts, and your willingness to participate in a potentially degrading event.

...Thank you.
[A few days after the vacations, the delegation from the Gebian Ministry of Health arrives. Which means it's time for the event we've been planning for some time! An impromptu sports field has appeared on the edge of Alhambra base, where volunteers (grand majority of them members of Unity Group) can participate in various games and disciplines. Some of them are common, others strange and exotic! And while this goes on, the delegation (as well as various other random onlookers) watches - a group of insectoid Gebian aliens who all look way too similar to an untrained eye. It's even hard to tell which one is the minister! But she has to be here, right? Hetepheres is, at least - the general seems to spend most of the time playing guide for the visitors.]

[This is an open log, but one thread per sports discipline please. No limitations on what disciplines go, as long as they're something that's really played in real life! You can participate in more than one event if you want to.]

[Very shortly after the previous battle there seems to be another silver-haired girl wandering around Alhambra Base. In her hand is a small map with what seems to be directions to the base. The expression on her face seems to indicate that she's annoyed with something.]

First those darned guards wouldn't let me in, and now I can't even find her anywhere!

...Maybe I should have told her I was coming first.

[A bit later the same girl can be found in front of a vending machine with her fist shaking in anger. One of the bottles seems to have gotten jammed. ]

Why you...

[She seems to resign in defeat for a moment before glancing around carefully. Once she assumes that no one else is around she lifts the large machine over her head like it was a toy and starts shaking the machine wildly. Eventually the bottle of tea finally emerges from the machine and she sets the machine back down calmly.]

Haha victory is mine!

[3] [Locked to ???]

[A long day of wandering later, the girl has collapsed outside Alhambra in failure.]

Wheeerrrrrreeee are yooooouuuuuuuuuuuu!?

[She sounds utterly defeated.]
[1] [After the latest battle, Hetepheres watches as her insectoid underlings are taking care of Scaraber. The core unit wasn't hit too badly, but the Scarab Frame lost its two additional arms and will need them fixed. She's also checking the post-battle report on a tablet.]

That was the first time I have seen Aerogaters use humanoid machines. Curious... And it still leaves as many questions about their nature as before, if not more. Fortunately, thanks to the Knights' help and early evacuation, the number of casualties was minimized, possibly even completely reduced to nothing.

All circumstances considered, that was a good battle.

[2 - announcement]
It is time for me to reaveal the Pro-Earthling Party's plan. Listen well.

Many members of the High Council are still undecided about whether our races should fight, or cooperate. During the Grand Vote, the fate of the whole Gebian species shall be decided. At that time, we must be absolutely certain that the majority of the council members will support the Pro-Earthling Party. And we shall earn their support by showing them the amazing advances of Earth's civilizations!

Our Minister of Health, Acenith, will pay a visit to Earth in around 2 weeks. She is obsessed with sports - not professional ones, but amateur sports, as a way to spread healthy living and spirit of competition and cooperation among the people. To show her that the spirit of sportsmanship is strong within Earthlings, we shall organize games for her to watch. And I ask you to be the participants.

Skills do not matter - it is not about ability, but healthy enthusiasm! The Ministry of Health is influential - show your spirit to Acenith, and many other council members, not just her, will support cooperation! Take your time to prepare, and think what disciplines you would like to perform. I shall not force anyone to participate; but the bigger the games are, the better our chances of success.
[1 - more of a react post than anything]
[Right after the battle with the AEP, the giant dragon and the mysterious crystal creatures, Hetepheres is nowhere to be found. Why? Turning on the TV, pretty much any channel, will provide the answer. She is at a public ESUN conference, impromptu but still crowded as hell, giving a statement - an explanation of matters regarding Gebians, the hostile Anti-Earthling Party and the allied Pro-Earthling Party. The speech is long and covers topics most people in UG know about already, so it's honestly kinda boring if you already heard about it. But the majority of the population didnt; journalists are besieging the Gebian general, asking questions ranging from reasonable to ridiculous. She answers them all stoically, but the more perceptive can notice her patience is starting to grow thin.]

[2 - the actual prompt, default]
[Some time after that Hetepheres returns to Alhambra, via Scaraber - and the mech has its new shiny upgrade, in the form of golden scarab-like armor with wings and four arms. Now it looks even more beetletastic! The general leaves her machine, several Gebian mechanics already swarming in for maintenance.]

...Politics are tiring. They might be a part of my role as ambassador, but I prefer fighting on the physical battlefield. It felt nostalgic to have the proper number of limbs again.

ugyuuya: Yuuya Default (Default)
([personal profile] ugyuuya May. 6th, 2014 01:27 pm)
[Yuuya stands in his regular uniform on the catwalk looking up at the Shiranui Second with a troubled look on his face. It seems something has him displeased and he's come here to try to puzzle it out.]

It bothers you doesn't it, your low scores on the test missions? [Vincent gives a slight wave as Yuuya is shaken from his reverie.]

I'll be the first to vouch that you're a top-class pilot in an American TSF but if tuned and built the Shiranui Second like that then the Japanese pilots would be having the same problem you are.

American TSFs are built to be straightforward, you tell it to go here and the machine does it, direct action to reaction. A Japanese pilot will use the shape of the frame to his advantage, let the angle of the sensor mast make small course corrections or use the knife sheathe to generate lift and turn a horizontal cut into a diagonal slash.

So that's what she meant by "A horse and it's rider are one". Stupid way to go about saying that.

Oh and might that she be Lt. Takamura? You know if you're so interested in getting to know how to "ride" the Shiranui Second maybe you ought to try your luck with her.

[The venom in Yuuya's comeback leaves most of the hanger staff confused but the ones close enough to have overheard are seen trying to stifle or hide laughter.]

All right, all right, I'm sorry, bad joke. But it's probably time that you opened up your eyes a bit more my friend. Yui and Ken aren't all that different from you, what does that mean for the others?

[With that parting shot Vincent leaves and a particularly pensive Yuuya stands looking up at the unit in front of him.]
[Hetepheres eventually returns from Macross to her office in Alhambra by TSEN. And it might not be easy to see at a first glance, but she looks tired. Regardless, time for rest will come later, because now she has an announcement to make. One of her scarab-like helpers gives her a cup of something to drink.]

I never expected the giants to reach Earth. But at this point, it is a safe bet that what are they after is your ship, the Macross. The ship that is currently around the orbit of Uranus.

Some of you might have heard about it, and it is true; my people encountered these giants before. As well as Decepticons, and Wulgaru, and Aerogaters. We barely know much more about them than you do; our contact consisted mostly of exchanging projectiles, not words. Regardless, if you have any questions, I will try to answer them to the best of my ability.

[She can be easily reached through the network or in person.]
1. [The safe harbor that Shu was referring to is a cave some distance away from the battle zone. There's ample space for everyone to store their machines, and necessities such as food and water are all available.

As you're getting accustomed to the layout however, a particular bird/familiar approaches you.]

So since Master isn't really himself right now, I owe you guys some explanations!

The most likely reason you've been brought to La Gias is a large-scale summoning spell. I've got no clue who the caster is, or why they did it, though.

If you've got any other questions, I can try to answer them.

[She does look a BIT more serious when it comes to the next part, however.]

...By the way, I noticed some of you recognize Master from before. Just letting you know that reminding him of the past all at once right now would be a baaad idea. That goes especially for some of you.

2. [It's not long afterwards that Shu can be found next to a VERY familiar looking device in one section of the cave. Those of you who have been with the Unity Group before would recognize this as a TSEN Device, but Shu looks confounded by its presence there...]

[The combatants from the mission have returned! But since then, you might have gotten a glimpse of one of the new people who returned with them, or for something more obvious: that mecha in the hangar. Chika's advice about those memories of his has also spread one way or another, but it's not like you'd run into him a lot anyway.

Said person is regularly found in the records' rooms of the bases (or something equivalent like a library); suspiciously going through a small number of both written and digital documents. They're not top secret stuff, so he's not breaking any rules, but still...]

((OOC: Yes, this still takes place in La Gias for prompts 1 and 2, and is the explanation as to why everyone can go home so quickly. This way we won't get multiple posts of 'what now?'. Plus, this means our newly introduced player can go ahead and frontdate to after this event if he wants to make his own post.

OOC 2: Walt tag is for anyone from the mission to tag, enjoy.))
[1] [Suddenly, a transmission to all Unity Group bases! The person talking is... definitely not human. She's some kind of weird alien insect cyborg.]

Citizens of Earth, members of organization known as Unity Group. I come to you with a warning.

I am Hetepheres, a general of the Gebian army. Thousands of years ago, my people came to your planet, but they kept their presence a secret. Today, we return, but we are not united in our goals. The Anti-Earthling Party believes that we should conquer your planet, and enslave its populace. They will start their invasion soon.

I am a representative of the Pro-Earthling Party. We believe in mutual cooperation and understanding between our two races. I was sent here as an ambassador, and consultant, and defender; together, we shall push back the AEP, and perhaps teach them of the mistakes of their way. If they don't want to learn, they shall taste steel.

Your leaders already know about this and have prepared a place for me to establish an embassy. If you need anything, you can find me there.

[2] [Soon, stuff is going on in the hangar at Fort Alhambra. A strange vessel has arrived, resembling a combination of a normal spaceship and an ancient Egyptian river boat. It's not big, enough to transport maybe several mecha at most. A group of creatures that look suspiciously similar to 1-meter long beetles is moving to and fro, unpacking various objects from the ship and disappearing with them inside the base. The whole operation is overseen by Hetepheres, who turns out to be no less alien in real life than on a screen, and pretty giant to boot - roughly 2 meters tall! Also, right next to the ship a mech is standing, which looks very much like her, only 10 times taller.]

Watch out with those instruments, they are very fragile. Yes, bring that to my private quarters, if you please. That console can stay on the ship for the time being.

[One of the beetles raises a hand (they don't really have hands, but details) questioningly.]

No, I don't know where the kitchen is. One of the locals will have to answer this question.
